West Tamar Escape

Kate and Liam’s home is located between Exeter and Glengarry, in the picturesque Tamar Valley. This area is located in Northern Tasmania, and is only approximately 50 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania, and 30 minutes from Launceston. The space Our unit is cosy and comfortable, it is not attached to the main house, so you will have full privacy! We provide free wifi and smart TV :-) Guests will have full access to the unit, which has a small bathroom (with shower), queen sized bed, fridge, oven, toaster, kettle, and basic kitchen utensils. Our property is a hobby farm where you will see chooks, livestock, and a small cherry orchard. We also have pet dogs, which are friendly and spend most of the time inside the main house. We are happy for guests to bring your dog/s along, however prior notice is requested and they must remain on a leash at all times when outside, and they don’t rest or sleep on our furniture. Please note that the unit is comfortable for 2 people, however we do have a portable single bed if more than 2 people are wanting to stay, to a maximum of 3 people (the 3rd person will be an extra $20). Please contact us prior to booking so we can assist. Other things to note The Tamar Valley is home to Tasmania’s premier wine district. There are many vineyards within short distances from our home, which includes Grey Sands winery, which is located just 5 minutes away. Here you can engage in wine tastings, and enjoy looking through their beautiful gardens with magical views through the Tamar Valley. If wine tasting is your thing, then this is the perfect location as the Tamar Valley has recently been voted one of the top 10 wine routes in the world. Within reasonable distances are many other activities which include the beautiful Cradle Mountain (2 hours away), Bridestowe Lavender Farm, Hillwood Strawberry Farm, Ashgrove Cheese Factory, Anvers Chocolate Factory and Launceston’s Cataract Gorge (which has the longest single chairlift span in the world!).
