Haven on Honeoye-Renovated Classic Cottage!
This cozy cottage is in the heart of one of Honeoye lake's 1st cottage communities. Recently renovated, this cottage offers guests an opportunity to leave work & stress at home. Here, the yard space is wonderful w/ a beautiful pavilion & expansive lake views, multiple areas to relax, & a deck at the water’s edge! Use the bbq, fire pit, yard games & enjoy star-gazing. Bring/rent a kayak or fishing gear! If you want nothing more than to reconnect, book your next vacation here! The space This cottage is equipped with normal sized electric oven, refrigerator, microwave & BBQ. The cottage does not have a dishwasher, and please note, the shower and bath sink are very small, by most people's standards. Because my family has allergies, we do not allow pets/animals, or smoking of any kind. Please note, the large bed is two single mattresses pushed together (width of a king but length of a twin allows the door to close still), and the other is a bunk bed. We do not allow anyone over 100 pounds to use the top bunk bed, therefore, this property is not appropriate for more than two adult- sized people. (There is a floor mattress/pack n play for an additional child) Outside, feel free to use the BBQ and fire-pit. The cottage is equipped with some board games and outdoor games. We’ll provide lawn chairs and a deck at the water's edge. (The lake freezes so docks are only in the water between June and late September, then stored on the deck and edge of the lake) Feel free to bring your canoe or kayak, or rent them nearby when weather permits. Please note, our dock can not accommodate parking a boat, nor is it available late fall to early spring). The community is made up of small gravel roads with a 10 mph speed limit. Bringing dirt/mountain bicycles is a great idea! Guest access The 800 sq ft cottage and yard, pavilion, patio, deck at the water's edge, and community green space, with a small playground and beach are all available. Other things to note Sometimes swimming is not permitted due to weather-related algae blooms. (Please pay attention to signage regarding Algae Blooms and when to avoid swimming.) While this kind of event is rare & more likely to occur later in the summer, we have no control over weather/nature. Luckily the lake breezes are so nice and its a wonderful place to enjoy Summer, even if swimming is not permitted. In case you are wondering, the house is on public drinking water and not coming from the lake!
