Cozy & characteristic, fully equipped studio room. Our house is located in a small side street within in the canal district. The museum square, inspiring art galleries, all the major shopping streets, lovely restaurants, bars, cafes are all around the corner. The space Set in a protected 17th century house in the heart of old Amsterdam, the Weavery offers the unique character and style of a boutique hotel, with the personal service and homey comfort of a family run bed & breakfast. The Weavery is as perfectly located as can be imagined. We are just 5 minutes walk from the museum square and a short stroll from all the big theaters. All the main shopping areas like Leidestraat, the 9 Streets and PC Hooftstraat are just around the corner and so are many lovely cafes and restaurants. OUR ROOMS "Gezelligheid" (roughly translated it means cozy and pleasant) we keep top of mind at the Weavery. Another key characteristic is independence. Each room is equipped to a high standard with private bath and w/c. Our B&B is self-catering but complimentary coffee, tea and muesli are provided. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room so you can ease your way into the morning, and for your convenience there is also a fridge in the room. If you have some downtime there is a TV, and if you don’t there is wireless Internet to keep you connected. Our charming rooms feel like a home away from home. In short, we designed the Weavery to feel more like a pied-à-terre than a hotel or traditional bed & breakfast. We have two rooms to offer. The Silk room and the Suite. This listing is for the silk room. THE SILK ROOM Now cozy and relaxing, this room was once a hardworking workshop to the skilled silk weavers or “zijdelakenfabrikeurs” whose luxurious export Charmeuse, and Jacquard helped build the Dutch trading empire. While retaining much of its historical charm, The Silk room has all the modern conveniences including a large flat-screen tv and wireless internet access. The welcoming queen-sized bed is made all the more so with natural bedding from Cocomat. An ensuite bathroom with combination bath / shower and W/C means comfort and privacy. For added comfort, there are tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well as a fridge.
