Description

Welcome to the Lazy J Ranch. We offer a self-contained walkout basement suite that sleeps four comfortably. The suite has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom, and a fully fitted kitchen/living room with a sofa-bed. It has its own patio with table, chairs and barbecue, and a view out over the fields and the forest. Nestled on 13 acres, The Lazy J is home to our alpacas, horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. Walk down the trail to watch the animals, and relax beside the creek. The space The Lazy J Ranch in Coombs is just a few miles inland from the seaside towns of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. Home to the famous Old Country Market and its "goats on the roof", Coombs is the perfect base from which to visit Victoria (2 hrs away), Mount Washington (1 hr), and the picturesque west coast towns of Tofino and Ucluelet and the Pacific Rim National Park (2 hrs). For fishing and boating, Horne Lake, Spider Lake and Cameron Lake are all less than 30 minutes away, and there are endless hiking trails throughout the area, including the challenging climb up nearby Mount Arrowsmith to take in the stunning panoramic views. Guest access Our guests are welcome to use the patio space in front of the suite, with its patio set and gas barbecue, and are free to walk the trail that leads down the property to the delightfully peaceful valley of French Creek. Keep an eye out for some of the wonderful birds that inhabit the forest here - bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers, northern flickers and many others. From the trail you can watch the alpacas grazing, but please do not enter the fields or disturb the animals. Other things to note We are committed to proving a safe and sanitary place for you to stay during the current pandemic. For this reason, we are following all guidelines issued by Airbnb. Long stays welcome. Registration Details Provincial registration number: H981382182
