Hudson House at Clareville Beach -Deco Guesthouse

Hudson House sits peacefully amongst tiered lawns and established gardens. With filtered views over Pittwater and a short stroll to Clareville Beach this original art deco home has a lovely guesthouse with curved sandstone wall and unique architectural detail gently restored to blend nature, ease, and elegance. The space The self contained accommodation at Hudson House was completed in the early 60's cleverly using the curved sandstone wall as well as shiplap cladding and a coffered ceiling. It has been gently restored with it's own private pathway and entry, lounge, dining area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The glass doors open to a sandstone patio where you can BBQ or relax and enjoy the garden and Pittwater views. The sunsets can also be quite showy as well as the array of colourful birds that visit the birdbath. Wander down to the steps and across the road to the water where you can swim, fish, kayak or simply soak up the atmosphere. Clareville Beach has its own BBQ's and picnic tables as well or Paradise Beach, a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction, has a wonderful little jetty and netted swimming area. A 5 minute walk around the corner will take you to the shops at Hilltop where you can grab a superb coffee or sit down and enjoy a delicious organic meal at Forage Cafe. Pont, the bottle shop, offers a distinguished array of wines and beers and you'll also find an Organic Grocer, a Mini-Market and aGreek and Indian Restaurants. For a special treat, you can dine at Clareville Kiosk and and then walk along the water's edge (tide permitting) and fall into bed. Linen, leather, silk, wool and fluffy cotton towels will ensure you are comfy. This is not a stock standard new build with state of the art fixtures and fittings. It is an original Clareville cottage that oozes with character and soul. A unique collection of authentic vintage Art Deco dishes, furnishings, paintings, art and artefacts sit comfortably in the space and will help transport you to a more peaceful time. Guest access Guests are welcome to utilise the front garden which is tiered with plenty of options and vantage points to either catch some sun, read in the shade, enjoy the sunset or just soak up the garden and water views.
