Escape the city and step back in time for a farm stay experience at the historic Summerleigh Homestead in the Macedon Ranges. You will have a wing of the Homestead, with a private entry to a majestic and huge bedroom, a full-sized bathroom and a kitchenette with seatings. Enjoy the sunrise from your bedroom windows, stroll in the homestead garden or take the kids to see the farm animals. Relax by the fire pit (season dependent) while the children toast marshmallows and stargaze. The space You will have your own private entrance area leading into a selfcontained 12 foot ceiling homestead bedroom with 1 x King Double (or 2 x King Singles) and an option to add up to 2 extra single beds for kids/young adults, a separate kitchenette* with breakfast seating and a large bathroom, free use of the tennis / basket-ball court (on request), a paddock to park your horse in if you are a rider looking for an escape for you and your equine friend. Summerleigh offers plenty of peace away from the crowds, pandemic and a 24-hour news cycle. NB! - If you plan to bring a pet, contact us prior to booking to confirm suitability. We have horses, cattle, chickens, a pig and five dogs. The safety of your pet is important, as is the well-being of our animals. Pets are restricted to the kitchenette and must be on a lead when outside. Strictly no pets on bedding or furniture. An extra cleaning fee applies to all pet visits. Due to allergies, we are sadly unable to accept cats. Guest access You will have free access to our property during your stay, except the pool, the main part of the Homestead and the farm sheds. Just remember we are a working farm. Leave all gates the way you find them. Do not enter paddocks with livestock; and in summer, be watchful for snakes. Tennis court: Available during the warmer months. Byo tennis balls and rackets. Please book in advance. Fire-pit: Seasonably available. BYO firewood and fire-starters. Fire season runs from October and through to March. Check with us if you plan to use the firepit. Other things to note The kitchenette is currently undergoing renovation, so whilst fully functional, it is a little rustic. Pricing reflects this inconvenience.
