Museum Square is 15 minutes by bike or tram. Amsterdam West is TIME OUT magazine's 2023 TOP 10 COOLEST DISTRICTS ON THE PLANET. There are usually 3 people in the apartment, including host. There is usually no waiting for bathroom facilities - toilet and shower are separated, bedrooms have sink and mirror. The space The private bedroom is for one guest only. Please no inquiry for 2 guests. The bedroom has large double glass doors, high ceilings with view of the back garden. Hot/cold water sink and mirror with hooks to hang towels and clothes. Cabinets provide ample storage space. It's a medium soft double bed. Fresh bed linnens, towels, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, iron, shampoo and soaps are provided. There are electrical outlets and a manual heater to adjust heat. It is ground floor and cool in the summer. This bedroom located on the hallway offers extra privacy and has a lock. Because bedrooms have sink and mirror - there is usually no waiting time for the shower or toilet which are in separate hallway rooms as in many old style apartments. Guest access Guests can use the garden terraces, toilet, shower, kitchen and living/dining room. It is shared with 1 or 2 other people. I live here and rent two other bedrooms to one guest per room. It's a quiet home and residential street. Neighbors are friendly and people often greet eachother on the sidewalk. Guests are not allowed to bring visitors into the home. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment !! Back garden terrace is allowed for smoking. There are no pets allowed. During your stay I am open to the kind of contact guests want and offer privacy. This is a registered Bed and Breakfast so owner lives in the apartment. I don't allow guests to have visitors during the stay. This is also a legal agreement with the building Homeowners Association that allows one guest per bedroom or 2 guests at a time in this apartment. I can give tips about where to eat and visit. I can help to find out about special interests and events or which theaters and restaurants to use. I have lived for over 30 years in Amsterdam. I speak fluent English, Dutch and some French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. Other things to note There is extra space in the refrigerator for guests. We try to respect quiet after 10 pm. Please no talking on the phone in the back garden after 10 pm or before 9 am in the morning. Neighbors can hear everything as well as people in the apartment. Of course you can talk on the phone in your room at night as late as you want. There is no curfew. I operate the laundry machine. I'll do your laundry for you for no extra charge, only one load and return within 24 hours. Schedules change and vary so the guidelines I offer for a 13.00 check in or 12.00 check out may apply - always ask if you would like to check in before or out after the guideline times. I will let you know if it is possible. It usually depends if other guests are also leaving or arriving the same day. Central Station has a large luggage locker section with a security guard.
