Description
***UPDATE OCT 2021: "The Old Kitchen" has been closed due to COVID. However, the Squatters Arms has new owners who will be reopening for booking in the near future under a new listing. *** Originally a staging inn, the Squatters Arms is an historic stone building built around 1841, making it one of the oldest homes in the area. We are slowly and lovingly bringing it back to life. The space 'The Old Kitchen' guestroom was, quite literally, the inn's original kitchen! Some of it's most defining features are still intact: the flagstone floors, the bread oven and huge fireplace with cooking arm where all the meals were prepared. It's now a cosy room for two with all the comforts of home. We want you to feel instantly at home in 'The Old Kitchen'. We have two friendly dogs who will greet you when you arrive. But if this isn't your thing, let us know beforehand and we'll keep them within the backyard. Daily continental breakfast is included. We don't offer lunch or dinner, but there are a number of food options in Cooma and surrounds, or you can self cater. The space comes equipped with a kitchenette complete with fridge, microwave, stove, pod coffee machine and complimentary tea and coffee. The room has a full ensuite bathroom. WiFi is included, and you can login to your Netflix and Stan accounts on the smart TV. If you're travelling with a van or trailer, our yard is large enough to accommodate. Guest access The entire property is 6 acres which you are welcome to explore. There is a fire pit on the property which you are free to use (weather and fire conditions permitting).
