Large seaside cottage, Dale, Pembrokeshire
Large seaside cottage, Dale, Pembrokeshire
Description
Our beachside Pembrokeshire cottage offers an attractive, cosy retreat for up to nine people, in the picturesque village of Dale. The surrounding peninsula is part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Park which offers stunning coastal walks, offshore islands, rare birds, colonies of grey seals and visiting dolphin and porpoise. Beach options (several within walking distance) are endless and unspoilt. There’s every type of water-sport on offer and one of the best pubs in Wales on the doorstep. The space Lovingly restored by the family, our traditional stone-built cottage lies a stone’s throw from the beach. On the first floor a large open plan sitting/dining room with a log fire forms the heart of the property with plenty of comfortable seating and a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. This area leads onto a light, fully equipped kitchen, which in turn opens onto the large garden via a decking bridge. There are two comfortable, spacious double bedrooms on the ground floor, plus a further room with a double and a single bed. The two generous sized bathrooms have recently been refurbished, one with oversized bath and overhead shower, the other with large walk in power shower. Above the lounge is a fourth, gallery bedroom, with a double bed and views over the garden. Outside, the grassy garden has plenty of space to relax in with a barbecue and outdoor table and chairs. Guest access The cottage is entirely self-contained and all the facilities in the property and its adjoining garden are for your own private use during your stay. There is private parking for up to four cars adjacent to the property. Other things to note For families with younger children it is important to mention that the village road runs in front of the property and its front door, so we recommend access via the back door which opens out into the off road parking area. The large, grassed garden is at the rear of the property at first floor level, with a low fence and a wooden staircase to the parking area. The garden has a table with parasol, and plenty of seating. As it is a raised garden children need supervision. There is additional access across a decking bridge into the first floor kitchen. A toddler gate is provided at the foot and the top of the main staircase, and also at the foot of the stairs to the gallery bedroom, which we would recommend being used as an adults bedroom only.
