The George Cabin - Kawau Island

A perfect island getaway! Kawau Island -1 hour drive from Auck to Sandspit, a 40 min boat ride to Smelting House Bay. 'The George' is a 5 minute walk from Lidgard Wharf. Come by ferry or your own boat. The George is set amongst the ferns & native flora, getting late morning sun. See wekas and wallabies on your walks. Peaceful and quiet - with microwave, bench oven and fridge. We also have Kawau Cabins (1, 2 and 3) and a sleep out...sleeping 11 total Sorry - no pontoon berthing avail The space The George Cabin is located on our property - separate from the main family home. The shower and toilet facilities are located at the end of the family home - accessed from the outside - the funky shower has magnificent bush views! The cabin has running water, a jug for hot water, a sink, microwave, cooker and toaster. Guest access Arrive by ferry (kawau cruises), or your own boat. Sorry but no pontoon berthing available with cabins but you can anchor safely in the bay. Other things to note As we are surrounded by bush bring your fly spray and insect repellent. Great fishing off the wharf nearby so bring your rod! Sorry no dogs.
