Spotted Dance Ranch

Spotted Dance Ranch is a small guest ranch and horse breeding facility that has been hosting guests since 2014. Come stay in our cozy Cowboy Cottage located on the beautiful ranch grounds, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the ranch located adjacent to the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest! Bring your horse if you have one; otherwise, many other outdoor activities and attractions are available nearby, or just relax! We are conveniently located outside Brooksville, FL near I-75. The space Since we are centrally located in Florida, we are not too far from the Orlando attractions, Tampa, and the Gulf and Nature Coasts, including Weeki Wachee and Chassahowitzka Springs, Crystal River, and Homosassa. We can help you plan your Florida adventure! Stalls and paddocks are available for rental if you bring your horse. Note that we do not offer trail riding on our horses. If you ask, we are more than happy to show you and tell you about our awesome Spotted Saddle Horses (but because we are a working horse ranch, please stay in the immediate Cowboy Cottage area). A stay at our ranch is a great escape from the city, as well as a romantic getaway for couples! It is also a safe, quiet, and peaceful place to stay while traveling on business. Check out our website for more information and guest reviews. The cottage is very small (about 300 sq ft). The fully-equipped kitchen is a separate room with a small dinette area. The queen bed and double futon are located in the main room, along with a small desk, and TV (which only gets a few local stations but there are plenty of DVDs of movies to watch) in a dresser with some storage drawers. The full bathroom has a large shower, and there is an adjacent small closet. Guest access You will have the cottage to yourselves, and you can park next to it. The ranch is very peaceful and quiet. There is a patio out back with a table, chairs, and gas grill for your use, as well as a picnic table and lounge chairs out front under a large live oak to relax and enjoy the awesome Florida weather. Depending on the time of year, there may be guests camping in RVs or horse trailers near/around the cottage. Guest horses may be staying in the paddocks behind the cottage, the adjacent barn, or the large barn located down the hill (and because we are a working horse ranch, please stay in the immediate cottage area). We have one friendly ranch cat. We live on the property in a house located about 500' from the cottage and are available when needed. Other things to note We are different than your typical Airbnb since we are a working horse ranch and live on site. You won't be sent a gate code and never meet anyone. If you will be checking in after dark, please check before making reservations to determine if that is possible (typically no problem if not in the wee hours, but it depends on ranch operations). Due to horse ranch security, we need to know what time the front gate should be open when you arrive and will typically greet you. Horses are not available at the ranch for trail riding. Please do not pet or feed the horses unless you have gotten permission from us (not all horses are friendly). Note that due to the host's severe dog allergies, no dogs are allowed in the cottage, no exceptions.
