Cottage "La Vie ...in the mountains"

Cottage 'La Vie in the mountains', like it's name, is about "The Life in the mountains!” Here, you can live in sunshine, swim with the clouds and drink that exhilarating mountain air! This hilltop cottage overlooks a tranquil meadow and is close to Birla Girls’ School in Majkhali. It's a beautiful and spacious cottage surrounded by picturesque alpine forests together with the Panchachuli Range to be seen at a distance on clear, cloudless days up in the Himalayas, lend a breathtaking view! The space Cottage “La Vie” can be seen from the ‘Golu Mandir Parisar’ and one needs to take a five minute walk on the upaved road or, take a small car to reach the entrance of the Cottage, making it easily accessible. On clear, cloudless day in the Himalayan mountains, the majestic Nanda Devi, and Nanda Kot peaks of the Panchachuli Range can be seen at a distance; North-east from the Cottage. It's ideal sitting outside anywhere in the Cottage during the day with a glass of lemonade and watch the never ending play of colours in the sky. It's like water colours swimming by! The garden with its seasonal flowers and trees is a writers', birdwatchers' and artist's delight. The interiors of the Cottage are warm and relaxing. One can even see the bright and big stars on a clear night and relax on the balcony gazing at the ‘starry, starry night’. Guest access Guests have access to almost all areas of the Cottage. In addition to the sprawling lounge and dining area on the ground floor, the Guests will also have the entire first floor to themselves with two bedrooms, a sitting area, two attached private balconies, and two spacious bathrooms- one, which is common to both these rooms, and second bathroom being on the ground floor. About the Rooms: The first bedroom with Queen-size bed, gets the full view of the changing skies through the big glass door and a big window; is ideal for two people. The room gets the morning sunrise and has beautiful views of the fields. One can view- on clear, sunny, cloudless days in the Himalayas- the Panchachuli Range including the Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot Peaks at a distance from the balcony; and delight in the brightly lit sky on a clear night while relaxing on the deck. There is no TV in the room. The second room is adjacent to the other bedroom. It has a four-poster, single bed (big) which can be used by either one or two persons, which is a personal choice really! The room has an attached balcony (with a view of the spectacular Panchachuli range in distance, on clear, sunny, cloudless days up in the Himalayas), and a big window overlooking the green woods’ yonder. One can see bright and big stars on a clear night while relaxing on the balcony, star gazing. This room gets plenty of afternoon sunshine. The room has no TV. P.S.: TV is available in the common dining area at the ground floor. The big Attic above the two bedrooms may be treated as one big space for guests. It has the provision of mattress for easy lounging, sleeping and enjoying beautiful views. About the Bathrooms: There are two fully functional and beautiful bathrooms available to guests. There is one large bathroom attached to both the guest rooms on the first floor and the second bathroom is on the ground floor for a comfortable use. Both bathrooms have geysers and shower enclosures. The Kitchen on the ground floor is well equipped with hob, chimney, fridge, microwave, a small oven, coffee maker, utensils, cutlery, cups and glasses etc., which may be used. The Caretaker will facilitate arranging and making breakfast. Tea and Coffee may be had as per guests wish. Morning Tea / Coffee are complimentary. However, if the Guest(s) intend to get lunch or dinner made in the kitchen; they’ll have to tell the Caretaker and arrange for procuring the ingredients/material with the Caretaker’s help. The Caretaker will take Rupees Two Hundred making charges per meal, which also includes washing of the utensils and the dishes, and cleaning of the kitchen after. The amount may be paid by the Guest to the Caretaker, directly and please ensure that you pay. EXTRA GUEST: MAXIMUM TWO ONLY WITH EXTRA CHARGES OF ₹2000/- per person per night payable to the host directly through any UPI app . Other things to note The Cottage has free WiFi access everywhere inside and outside; and since the Cottage is booked for only one set of guests at a time; one can sit anywhere in the Cottage and be connected to the WiFi. The Cottage has basic Inverter power backup (including WiFi). Being on a vantage location on a hilltop, the Cottage has a good and effective signal of Airtel and Jio.
