Custom designed, Bali-inspired villa set in the jungle, a short walk from the exclusive Kantiang Bay. A perfect place to relax on your holiday, or to work on the road, with tasteful decor, and great WiFi throughout. Very close to the town centre of BaKantiang, you're just a short walk to the beach, amenities and fabulous food and drink. This open concept tropical home was designed to be ventilated by air-flow during the day though an air conditioner is available to cool the bedroom at night. The space Baan Cha-Om is a-one-of-a-kind boutique villa in the quaint village of Kantiang Bay, the most exclusive area of Koh Lanta, with arguably the best beach on the island. Our home was designed as a work of love, with careful consideration to detail and sourcing furnishings from designers across Southeast Asia. We're proud to have been featured in numerous design publications since completion in 2018. It is our honour to share our home with you, and hope it will serve as a perfect base during your stay on our precious island. Make yourself some coffee and kick back in the hammock chair, or pull a chair up to the work desk and write those postcards you've been wanting to send. Come home from your day of exploration and read a book or two, on the couch or on the garden patio...the whole villa is designed to take you away from it all but with all the comfort of home! When it's time to settle in for the night, take a blissful rain shower in the huge, luxurious bathroom and crawl into the fluffy bed in air-conditioned comfort. You'll be so relaxed you'll wake up not sure if you're still dreaming! Guest access The whole home is yours to use and enjoy with the exception of a locked storage closet for our cleaning supplies. You may see our gardeners in the yard in the afternoon as they water and trim the plants. Other things to note The charm of Koh Lanta is that it remains a quiet, community-oriented, rural island, without the hyper development of Phuket or Phi Phi islands. This does mean you'll experience a true village lifestyle, with some insects, wildlife and roosters around, as well as the occasional power outage. When we have advanced notice of electrical works resulting in power outages for the day, we'll pass that information along to guests so you can plan your day accordingly. Keep in mind, the air conditioning unit is installed specifically for the cooling of the bedroom in the evening. The air conditioner is not intended to cool the entire house and will not function for that purpose. The house was designed for daytime ventilation by opening up the large doors and window and letting the island breeze through. Do note that this means that the doors never 100% seal as most Western homes. There appear to be CCTVs outside the house. They are not connected to any power or recording source as to protect your privacy.
