LA TOUR by Skybox Cabins

At the tip top of the Texas hill country, LaTour (The Tower) offers spectacular views from both the living room and bedroom balconies. Modeled after the Pigeonniers, a 17th century status symbol in southern France, La Tour seems to rise straight out of the native Texas stone to hover among the neighboring oaks and cedar. Spend the day exploring and the evening taking in views by on the swinging hammock, or just relax in the hot tub. Hot Tub and Pool rotate per season 2 Guests/1 Bed/1 Bathroom The space To access LaTour, you must follow the rock path until you walk under the cedar pergola. The rustic exterior is in contrast to the bright and quirky modern interior. Surrounded by cedar and hardwoods, you are guaranteed a concert from our local birds and maybe even a gobble from the wild turkeys. Deer, jack rabbits, horses and some cows may also pay you a visit. LaTour is furnished with electricity, hot water and air conditioning/heating. A small refrigerator, coffee maker, induction cooktop and microwave can be found in the kitchenette. There is no TV so bring a book or maybe just good company! The following will also be provided with your stay: *Bed linens and pillows (Queen size memory foam bed) *Towels *pool/ hot tub towels *Shampoo/Conditioner *Body wash/Soap *Hot Plate, microwave *Picnic grill (provide your own charcoal) *Plates, glasses, silverware, some cooking utensils, pots and pans *Reverse osmosis filtration system with drinking water faucet on kitchen sink *Some snacks and drinks Guest access Our property is gated and the entrance code will be provided on your check in date. The keycode to LaTour will also be provided at that time. Parking is available on site. Guests are free to explore the 50 acres of private land. Walk the property down to Possum Hollow creek (seasonal) and stick your feet in the cold Paluxy water or find a sunny spot on an oversized limestone rock and just have a drink and relax. Located minutes from Dinosaur Valley State Park, downtown Glen Rose and Fossil Rim, there are options for outings...if you bring yourself to leave the serenity found in our modern tower home. Other things to note Our property is located in nature and you can expect to find some creepy crawlies. Make sure you pack bug spray if you plan on spending time outside walking around, especially in the mornings and early evenings. Our dogs do have free reign of the property. They are friendly and love to lead our guests on walks. The stairs inside LaTour are steep and the railings are minimal. In order to maintain a serene environment for all of our guests, guests under the age of 18 or more than two guests are not permitted. Guests who choose to violate this policy will be asked to leave immediately. Date changed requests must be made 30 days in advance of check-in date. Only one date change is allowed. Guests are responsible for any difference in rate. HotHot Tub Use Policy Our hot tub is up and running for your enjoyment! Please note that an additional charge may apply if the hot tub is found turned off, not set to the appropriate temperature, or if the lid is left open.
