Important PSA! Please do not book the space unless you are the verified guest. This is for safety reasons. My home is nestled in Sligo Creek that is within a mile of the Forest Glen Metro Station and 1 block from a public bus stop. My home is ideal for younger to middle aged familes, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Guests have shared that my home is “cozy and full of benefits” including being close to downtown Silver Spring or DC with great restaurants, music and shopping. The host has SEVERE ASTHMA, so please DO NOT spray strong perfumes or microwave food with strong spices. The odor will rise to the next floor and affect the hosts ability to breathe. The space is designed for take out or light microwave meals. The space is not the whole house, but a separate apartment space with a private entrance. To enter and exit, please use the outdoor staircase which can be accessed through two small white gates, leading to the private entrance staircase. The host will provide the key-code on the day of your arrival. Please note this is strictly a DRUG free home. If you have smoked cigarettes or marijuana prior to entering please place your clothes in a bag or wash them immediately as the odor will penetrate the home and cause asthma issues for the host. Please note, the staircase is not ideal for older guests or if you have trouble walking or going up and down stairs. The apartment entrance is not the red door to the main residence. The space has a full size bed. If you need an additional bed, I can provide a queen size air mattress. Please let me know in advance of your visit, so bedding can be provided. Please refrain from moving the full size bed. Please do not remove bedding as the cleaners will take care of that. The space does not have a full kitchen, but does include a microwave, toaster, small fridge (located in the laundry room), full dish set, and portable table to prepare and eat meals on. Access to the full kitchen is permissible upon request for special needs. Baby items such as a baby gate and pack and play crib are available as well. You are also welcome to use the new washer and dryer if you wish! The entrance is down the exterior stairs, through 2 gates. You will have access to WIFI, high speed internet, washer, dryer, shower, bedroom, deck and grill. Feel free to sit out in the garden if you wish. My only request is that you clean up after use and please do not leave any food out. Thanks! I generally don’t have a need to meet guests in person, unless it’s requested. I try and give my guests optimum privacy. My neighborhood is extremely safe, and easy to navigate to public transportation from. It is close to DC, MD and VA. The parks are amazing to walk or run in to enjoy a beautiful day while you are visiting. Yes, there is a metro stop (Forest Glen) that is 1 mile from my home which you can Uber to for $6 or take the #8 bus which only costs $1.50 and will take you straight to the station. Parking is FREE at the metro station on weekends. Parking on the street at my home is FREE. The entrance is through the two front white gates and down the steps. Please take your shoes off upon entry to the space, and place them on the blue shoe rack or the floor prior to entering the space. The carpet is brand new, so I would like to try and keep it as clean as possible for my guests. Thank you so much! Please do not remove sheets upon checking out, as the cleaners will take care of that. I ask that guests try their best to put away any food securely, so to avoid attracting bugs. You can store food/snacks in the brown storage bin under the kitchen table during your stay. Place all food trash in the large trash can, which can be found in the laundry area. After using dishes, please use the sink in the laundry room to rinse off your plates, cups and silverware. There is a drying rack in the sink, along with dish soap and a cleaning brush. Please do not move furniture or appliances unless it’s necessary for safety.
