This upscale cottage boasts an open-concept design, a fully equipped kitchen, cozy leather furniture, and stunning lakefront views. OCCUPANCY LIMIT: ● For family: 12 guests total with 8 adults and 4 children ● For friends/individuals: 8 guests Outdoor features include a large deck, picnic tables, a BBQ, a waterfront sunset deck, and a lakefront fire pit. The crystal clear waters of Lake Huron provide a refreshing swim or a calming paddle. Located just 10 minutes away from local stores and eateries, 15 minutes from Lion's Head town, and 35 minutes from Tobermory and the National Park, this cottage is your gateway to serene leisure and exploration. Indulge in the vast space, appreciate the wildflowers of the alvar landscape, watch the night sky, and savor the tranquility. Experience the very best of a Lake Huron retreat at the Tamarack Cove Cottage. Guests are welcome to bring their own boats such as kayaks or canoes. Power boats are not recommended for this shoreline. There is a public launch for powerboats in nearby Pike Bay. MAIN FLOOR The Main floor of the cottage is an open-concept space with a wall of windows overlooking the Lake Huron shoreline. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large island, with 4 stools, providing ample space for aspiring chefs to showcase their culinary skills. A full-sized fridge with a bottom-accessed freezer provides space for your food. The modern gas range and microwave add a touch of convenience to your cooking experience, making it a breeze to whip up your favorite dishes. Loads of space are available to store your groceries while you enjoy this fantastic modern getaway! The living room area has 2 comfortable leather sofas, a cowhide lounger, and a rustic leather Eames-style lounge chair. This area is the perfect spot to relax and take in the gorgeous vistas. Put on a CD and listen to the sounds of 80's rock - there is a great collection available for your use! The main floor also has 2 bedrooms. The Waterview bedroom has a queen bed and a spacious closet and a view of the waterfront, the other room has a king bed with a small set of drawers. There is a bathroom located on this floor, with a double sink and a bath/shower. We provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the showers! SECOND FLOOR: The second floor has a living room area with a large-screen TV. Bring your streaming device to watch your favourite shows or a DVD to watch movies. A card table with chairs is available for games and crafts. 2 comfy leather sofas for relaxing. The area overlooks the gorgeous lakefront vistas. A 3-piece bathroom with a shower/tub is located on this level - Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are supplied. There are 4 bedrooms available: ● King bed with a view of the waterfront ● 2 bunk beds (4 singles) for children ONLY ● Queen bed ● Double bed with a single bed OUTDOORS: There is a large deck located on the waterfront side of the cottage. 10 Adirondack chairs are available to guests, as well, there are 2 picnic tables for outdoor dining. A BBQ is located at the back of the cottage in front of the garage - protected from the wind. Propane is supplied. The property is over 2 acres and has plenty of space for your family to enjoy the great outdoors. There is a waterside sunset deck located on the waterfront where you can sit and enjoy the quiet and listen to the sound of Lake Huron or stargaze at night - our area is a dark sky reserve! There is a lakefront firepit, where you can roast smores and watch the night sky. The Tamarack Cove Cottage is located in a small private cove on Lake Huron, north of Pike Bay. It is an area with upscale family cottages. The waterfront is rocky and requires water shoes to access the water. Every year sees a different shoreline as Lake Huron has high water and low water moments! The landscape is typical of the region - with loads of rugged wildflowers that grow in the alvar. The water is crystal clear and very refreshing to swim in! Bring your kayak or canoe and enjoy paddling the area (at your own risk)! There is a local store located within a 10-minute drive, as well as a restaurant that has dine-in or take-out. Lion's Head is a 15-minute drive from the cottage and you have a choice of a varied number of restaurants, a liquor store, a country market, and a Foodlands. There are also several shops in Lion's Head to peruse. The Bruce Trail is located near Lion's Head. Tobermory and the National Park are located 35 minutes drive from the cottage. We are pet-friendly - after all - pets are family! We do have rules though for your pets. We do not charge a pet fee - so we ask that your pet be cleaned after 100% - so be prepared to stoop and scoop and make sure to vacuum up their hair!! Be sure to read our pet rules in our supplied house rules. Occupancy is strictly enforced as we are a licensed short term accommodation and are restricted by regulations. No exceptions. We will evict guests who have more than the allowed occupancy. Northern Bruce Peninsula License number NBP-2021-457 We have 24/7 emergency support available for our guests! No recreational equipment is provided. No kayaks or canoes. Guests are welcome to bring their own risk. Pet fees will apply if pets are not fully cleaned up after. Guest access You will have access to the whole living space of the cottage, the crawlspace and the garage will be locked and off limits. There is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS! Other things to note There is no phone in the house. Wifi is unlimited @ 5mbs. WIFI / Router must not be turned off at any time. Bring your own apple TV, android box, chromecast or streaming device of your preference. We have a cellular signal amplifier which provides a weak cell phone signal in the dining and main floor living areas. No recreational equipment is provided. No pet fees are applied as we ask all our guests to completely clean up after their pet. This means stooping and scooping and vacuuming and cleaning up pet mess indoors. This is irregardless of your cleaning fee. Pet fees of $40/day/pet will apply if you fail to clean up after your pet. Linens & towels are provided. NO pets on the beds please.
