Colfox Cottage - light, sunny, comfortable cottage

Rarely available to rent but with 5* BnB host, Colfox Cottage is a comfortable, light and sunny, roomy cottage, sleeping 4 with 2 bathrooms, with a large sunny garden room and a cosy, booklined sitting room with wood burner. Beaminster (7 minutes' walk) is an attractive town, with award winning restaurant and independent shops, lovely walks from the door, and only a few miles from Bridport and the Jurassic coast. Enjoy! The space I do welcome you to spend a little time in this lovely newly refurbished cottage. It's comfortable without being too precious or fussy. There are Granny's chairs and bed ends, curtains brought back from Kashmir, rugs from the Middle East, my stone carvings in the garden, plenty of books, a cook's modern kitchen with plenty of recipe books,and a plantswoman's garden. All the main rooms are south facing so even in winter, a glimpse of sun will cheer you up. The new double glazing, central heating plus a woodburner will keep you cosy. Three steps lead to the front door, a lobby and WC and then a large slate floored kitchen, with electric hob and double oven, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and fridge freezer. Through to a large garden room with dining table and easy chairs, and then a sitting room with woodburner, tv. Open stairs lead to two bedrooms, one with double bed and an ensuite shower room, and the other with 3' twin beds, which can also zip together to make a 6' bed, all made up with fresh white cotton bed linen. There is another bathroom with bath and shower over. Wireless broadband is available. It's a home designed for my pleasure and comfort, which hopefully matches yours. Guest access Guests will have access to almost everything except one locked bedroom (bed 3) and one cupboard in the second bedroom. Other wardrobes and drawers will be free for their use. The larder will have spices, oils and vinegars and staples. All I ask is that you use sparingly, and replace anything that runs out or gets very low. You are welcome to read my books but please don't take them away. You can use the washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, tv etc and hairdryer. Other things to note PARKING When you arrive, it is OK to park in the field entrance opposite to unload. Please do not park in the space in front of my house as it is not mine. ROAD The cottage is on a road so there is a little traffic, but it's not busy or incessant and there is no other background traffic noise, so it is mostly very quiet. HOME ENTERTAINMENT Please be advised, it's not a huge tv. Panasonic 32" with firestick. There are radios. NEIGHBOURS It is a semi detached house but one hears very little through the thick walls, although obviously playing very loud music is not appropriate in this environment.
