Blue Limestone Cottage on North Headley Road

This charming Limestone cottage home in North side of Bloomington has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It is private with 2 acre land but in a convenient location to anywhere in town. Only 1 minute drive to IU Assembly Hall, Stadium and IU new golf course. 2 minute drive to IU campus. 2 minute drive to Griffy Lake. 6 minute drive to College Mall. 7 minute drive to downtown. Perfect for travelers to relax and call home. The space Hello, welcome to my Airbnb Home. This was my in-laws' home for many years. My husband and his two brothers grew up here until they went to colleges. It has been a rental for 30 years after they moved out. I am in the process of updating the entire house with fresh paint throughout and new fixtures and appliances. The deco will be modern mixed with vintage finds and antiques. New photos will be periodically updated. The remodeling process of interiors of this home is about 85% to 90% finish except waiting for new kitchen cabinets and countertops as well as new shower panels to be installed soon (the old ones works fine but I’d like to get them updated eventually) and a new laundry room to be done by sometime in the future...by moving it from basement to mud room next to kitchen. The renovation for this older house has completely stopped at this time due to the pandemic since March 2020. It won’t be until later after the COVID-19 situation has improved. The schedule of continuing of updating will be in April 2021. Even though the remodeling process is overwhelming, it is rewarding to see the close to finished results! While the house is updating, there will be no construction going on during each stay. Guests enjoy complete privacy without distractions unless you prefer to interact more with the host. If you are looking for a newer home, this house is not for you. Older homes are built with characters and their charms only grow deeper as they aged gracefully! This one is too! And they don’t build home like old times anymore. Also due to the construction is not complete, please do excuse some aspects of the home won’t be perfect. Guest access Guest are welcome to use the entire house except the basement and garage. The main level has two bedrooms and a full bath, living room, dining room, kitchen and mud room. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The back yard off the back door has a vine covered patio- guests are also welcome to use it but please understand that it is not manicured and because it is connected to the garage, it is completely not finished or remodeled to be like a picturesque backyard. Rather, it is a bit of rough, wild, and free spirited. So please do not leave a feedback regarding the description of the house is not accurate based on the back yard or the land or feedback on the cleanness of the back yard, since construction debris are behind the garage area. Other things to note This is an older home- even though I am trying my best to update as much as I can, maybe some aspects are overlooked. If you are looking for a bargain to rent a huge space like this one but want a 5 star hotel interior finished, this house may not suit your needs. This is not a brand new house. I strive to be a 5 star host and always open to honest suggestions and constructive feedbacks, but also kind understanding and good communication. Please do not rate the house a 4 star even though after checking all the 5 star boxes only because you didn’t feel the room temperature is right for you. The host wouldn’t have known if the guests don’t express their need or concerns during their stay. Please do not use the wood burning fireplace in the living room. Please do not bring your pets for the stay. Unauthorized pets will result in $100 fine per day.
