Cottages are conceptualized as Maachli which is traditional term for huts made on heights to safeguard the crop and water it. Cottages are located in beautiful village Parule. Maachli means a cottage which isset up in the farm for stay and observations. Maachli is used in farm during irrigation process and cropping process. Maachli is the education place for children with the experienced elders in the family to learn the farming activities and various processes. During the farming time family stays in Maachli for days and days. In Konkan typical Maachli is surrounded by Coconut, Beetlenut Trees, Mango, Jackfruit, Kokum (Tropical Fruit of Konkan). Around Maachli one can also find various spices like black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, cardamom etc which are planted for day-to-day use. Staying in Maachli one is away from Urban Civilization and also goes closer to the Nature by way of staying without modern habitudes like air conditioner, television etc. These things are not at all required here. The Air is conditioned innovatively by sprinkling water in the farm which maintains the temperature and adds the freshness in an environment. The Weather is always pleasant as the cottage is surrounded by the Coconut and Beetlenut Trees. For the entertainment we have wind which blows the whistle while passing through the trees and birds add tune to it. Small Water stream through the farm makes it more interesting. While selecting space for the Maachli it’s ensured that trees are not cut. The Farmer understands that the planted and well grown tree is cultivated generations before for him and he needs to carry this for next generations. It is ensured that staying style is traditional but with basic facilities which are offered to make a stay more comfortable and enjoyable. In our dining area ‘PAVHNER’ food is served on banana leaves, ’Patravali’ (leaf plates), which adds villageness to it. Earthen pots are used to serve food on table. Chool (Mud-stove) is used to cook food which imparts distinct flavor to the food. Menu is designed by Mrs Priya Samant. Her concept behind the menu planning is to introduce guest to various Malvani veg and nonveg delicacies.Mrs Priya Samant and her team is committed to cook organically grown local vegetables and the best and the fresh available catch of the local fish for you. Our main concept behind project is to tune man’s cord with the nature, to make him/her feel relaxed, rejuvenated and energized, to stimulate his/her verve &vitality, to subside manipulated worries & relieve boredom of modern man who is often eluded by real happiness due to civilization, modernization, industrialization and professionalism. Guest access Maachli farmstay,located in beautifull village called Parule,offers lovely tropical paradise from all the hustle bustle of the cities.The local styled cottages are surrounded by lush surrounding of coconut,beetle nut,banana,spices and Mango trees. The water stream which flows through the farm makes the all the more enchanting. Other things to note 1. Walk from parking place to the entrance is roughly 200 meters on uneven surface. Guests have to cross a betel-nut trunks bridge over a beautiful water stream. Hence guests are requested to carry minimum required baggage. 2. Mobile network is not guaranteed however guests can use host land line if required. Television and Internet is avoided in order to maintain seclusion and enhance relationship with the nature. 3. The cottages are designed innovatively by using cross ventilation technique and surrounded by the thick plantation which rules out requirement of Air conditioner. . 4. We do not allow pets. 5. We do not offer room service and no eatables are allowed to be eaten in the cottage Since cottages are located in plantation area there are chances of entry of ants, rats to eat residue or leftover. Eatables can be eaten in the dining area. 6. We do not serve alcohol or have MRP counter (for chips, beverages etc). 7. We have fixed menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 8. We are situated in very dense plantation, very close to the Jungle thus live in abundant, rich and healthy eco system. So you may encounter snakes or other insects(mosquito etc).. Essential to carry 1. Guests are requested to carry Photo ID proof, floaters, sunglasses, hat, rainwear, torches etc. 2. Please carry your own towels for beach use. 3. Please carry Mosquito repellent and medicine if any. Check In Time - 1.00 pm Check Out Time - 11.00 am.
