Fountain House is a holiday home, built circa 1690, nestled on the High Street of the historic village of Falkland. Enjoy a retreat in a picturesque location with amenities. Comfortable, charming and full of character. The space Fountain House comfortably sleeps up to six adults and two children. The house has been newly renovated and decorated as of summer 2012. The open plan living/dining area has an exposed stone fireplace and wood burning stove. There is also a lovely private back garden with seating area with a view of the village church and Lomond Hill. Guest access Amenities include underfloor heating and electric shower in bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, TV and Broadband Internet, and wardrobes and/or chest of drawers in all four bedrooms. There is convenient parking in front or back of house. Other things to note Falkland is also a perfect base for many lovely day trips. A half hour drive will take you to St. Andrews and the charming fishing villages of East Neuk, such as Crail, Elie, Ansthruther and Pittenweem. Edinburgh, Perth, Glasgow and Stirling are under a one-hour drive away. Trains and buses are also easily available from near by Markinsh and Kirkcaldy. Listed on TripAdvisor
