Whole home for 10 near Belvoir Castle, NG13 0BW

Craven House is in the old village centre of Bottesford, between Grantham and Nottingham. It's a quirky, spacious, peaceful house and garden. Parts of the house are centuries old but it's been built on through time. The private garden has various corners to sit and relax in and a dining area (patio) near the kitchen. There's plenty of space for friends or family to spread out inside too with three reception rooms. Village amenities are good and there's plenty to do in the local area. The space This is my home - not as immaculate as a 'country cottage' type property. Some cupboards have odd things in them though bedrooms are mostly free of stuff. There are numerous books and magazines, and several TVs + streaming facilities. Guests say the house has a peaceful atmosphere that I trust every guest will enjoy. Children enjoy the nooks and crannies, younger ones the little attic den, but beware uneven floors and quirky door handles! The garden has a BBQ, sitting areas, patio, pond with frogs! 2020 saw hedgehogs, hazel dormouse, bat and pretty goldfinch. There's lawn but also a few trees - an old yew - and a whole range of plants. Village amenities, walks and cycles out into the countryside start a minute away. Guest access The whole of the house and garden is accessible though a few cupboards will have family stuff in. Most kitchen cupboards are accessible - a couple are labelled as private. Occasionally, my drive (round corner on Chapel Street) may be occupied with guests in the studio space - 'old coach house'. Parking is OK - no restrictions on streets. There is usually space for two cars parking outside the house, otherwise, places in Church Street nearby. All free parking. Other things to note The house appears to be just off the satellite map! Go past the Bull Inn, stay on the same side of Market Street, past the Chinese, then Dove charity shop, and then my house is the third one down. 'Craven House' on front door. Please note that I am 'green' and ask guests to think about the energy they consume (go low tech! Wear a jumper, close curtains, switch off unnecessary lights) and the way they recycle. The house has all the usual modern conveniences but some quirky features like door handles! I have a few guides on such eccentricities as well as practical info.
