Northern lights, starry sky, silence, dark winters, long summer nights and a nature that takes your breath away! Authentically restored jetty located in beautiful Neverdal in Meløy municipality. Immediate proximity to the sea, mountains, recreation and amazing nature experiences. Cozy and maritime decorated over 3 floors. Here, as much as possible of the history of the building has been preserved, and it is warm and cozy. The area is great for visiting Svartisen, the island kingdom or the many nearby majestic mountains. The space History: The jetty was built in 1924, and was the village's meeting point with local boat arrivals, land trade and post office until the end of the 1950s, when road construction accelerated. The building oozes history from the old days. From 2007-2009, Lottebrygga was renovated with great respect to retain as much of the old style as possible, but with modern amenities in rooms such as the kitchen and bathroom. Maritime cozy environment throughout the dock. 3rd floor: 4 sleeping zones with charming curtain shielding between the beds. 3 double beds + 1 single bed. In the attic there is also a very cozy bathroom, (shower in the bathroom on the 1st floor) with panoramic views over the fjord! 2nd floor: Here is the entrance, with interiors from the old post office that was on the jetty in the old days, staircase to the 3rd floor (steep stairs) cozy living room, and large beautiful kitchen with lovely views and dining area. The 1st floor is decorated as a common room; wicker chairs/table, darts, kurong, board games, and a dance floor if you want! The 1st floor also has a tiled maritime bathroom with shower. If you come in winter you can sit on the edge of the jetty, light up the fire pit, and many evenings you can see the Northern Lights over the jetty and the mountains. It's an amazing experience! Or on other days you can experience the forces of nature in the form of wind and waves. Fascinating too! In summer (approx. May 15 - August 1) it is bright as day absolutely 24/7. Then you can enjoy nature, sea, silence, mountains, and go on trips whenever you wish. The sun shines on the dock until 10-11 pm on summer evenings. And then you can just enjoy the excellent views of mountains and fjords. If you are fishing from the jetty, don't be surprised if you see the sea eagle flying by. They like Glomnesset, which you can see right across from the jetty. There are unprecedented opportunities for hiking. Both light and more demanding trips in majestic mountains. See UT or Meloy municipality - Fjelltrimmen 2021. 2 bikes available for guests. Many trips available within walking distance from Lottebrygga; e.g. Nordhesten, Sørhesten, Neverdalsmarka, Åsen, Glomnesset or Heia. But also lots of trips available after 15-30 min. drive; Ex: Hornnesset, Horntinden, Skrovtinden, Glomfjellet and many other peaks and destinations. Svartisen/Engabreen: Drive for 25 minutes to Holandsvika, take the shuttle boat over to the amazing Svartisen/Engabreen - Norway's lowest lying glacier. This is a destination that you just HAVE to experience when you are here. Here you can also find the lovely Brestua where you can buy delicious dinner and something good for coffee, while enjoying a view you have never seen before! Here is also the opportunity to go up to DNT's most inaccessible cabin; Tåkeheimen (1100 m above sea level) and from there on to Helgelandsbukken (1454 m above sea level) You will never forget these views. Something we can also say about all the other peaks in Meløy. (Patriot or not:) In Meløy there are activities such as kayak courses/rental, organized mountain tours, boat trips to one of the 755 small or large islands, glacier hiking, rib tours, gym, etc. You can find out about organized tours and experiences in Meløy at: - visitmeloy - meloyadventure - Search "På tur i Meløy" - brochure. The host can also, upon request, guide guests on trips both in the mountains and at sea. Feel free to contact us in advance for interest and prices for this. Glomfjord mountain is a fantastic hiking area where you can drive all the way up to Navnløsvann, which is a great starting point for trips into the mountains. Approximately 18 km from Lottebrygga to the foot of the mountain, or 21 km all the way up to Navnløsvann. History from World War II: "Operation Muskedunder" - the French submarine sailed into the fjord one autumn day in 1942, ready for the sabotage action against the power station in Glomfjord. Price by agreement. - Steep staircase to 3rd floor/sleeping loft. - 3rd floor does not have 4 separate bedrooms, but 4 sleeping zones shielded with curtains. Very cozy - see pictures.
