The Château du Saulce domain is a former Knights Templar commandery founded in 1216 and was taken over by the Order of Malta in the 14th century. The small castle in the Versailles style is from the 18th century and has been entirely renovated, keeping all the elements of the romanticism of its era. Located on the banks of the Yonne river, it is surrounded by a 3 hectare park with remarkable old trees and birds, ponds and a decorated trianon, as well as a modern swimming pool. The space The castle's interior with ancient furniture and decoration is designed following the clarity of the castles of the Louis XV era, combining authentic atmosphere and modern comfort. You have access to a very large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, four bedrooms (two of which are very large), and four bathrooms. One bedroom is on the first floor, the others are on the second floor. An additional room with a double bed is available upon request. Please note that the paths to the neighboring building and the vegetable garden in the park are also used by the owner of the property. There is a private outdoor swimming pool which is open during the summer months (shared exceptionally with the owner of the property), outdoor tables and a barbecue. Through the park, you can directly access the “Canal du Nivernais” and the Yonne river for biking and walking. Pay attention in the park with the swimming pool and with the numerous ponds, especially with children. Noisy events are not allowed.
