This light, bright 650 sq ft one bedroom apartment has been completely updated and is conveniently located near Alameda's Crown Beach, San Francisco, Oakland, restaurants and shopping. The eat-in kitchen features high ceilings, plenty of storage, a microwave, gas stove and refrigerator. An in-unit washer-dryer is also available for guest use. The living room has large windows with a smart TV over a non-functioning fireplace along with a futon for additional sleeping options. There’s a 42” wide desk along with chair by the window. There's also a large hall closet for coats or storage. The bedroom has a full-size bed and spacious closet. The bathroom has encaustic tiled flooring and a shower stall. This first-floor apartment is accessible a few steps up from the street. There is no on-site parking, street parking is available. Please take note of street sweeping days and times, they vary by side of street. The building was built in 1878 and is on Alameda's historical list. Guest access Parking: Street parking is available. Please be aware of street sweeping days, they alternate by side of street and signs are posted throughout the neighborhood. Nearby: Alameda Landing with Target, Safeway, and places to eat, a dog park and Washington Park, and the beach are nearby. Public transportation: BART will take you throughout the Bay Area. The most convenient station is West Oakland, all lines go through here. If you park here, don't leave anything out in view in the car. Alameda Main St Ferry - The terminal is nearby and the ferry will take you to San Francisco Ferry Building and close to Pier 39. There are also other connections throughout the Bay. Uber and Lyft operate here, the apps can be downloaded and are easy to use. Bus stops are nearby and casual carpool is nearby on Webster St and Santa Clara. This is an option for people interested in carpooling to get into SF during commute hours. Please note it is a carpool with strangers. Other things to note Please read full listing before sending in a reservation request. We strive to provide a pleasant stay for our guests and keep our rates low by providing comfortable basics. Our apartments are clean and comfortable and aren't luxury accommodations so we try to set expectations accordingly. We try to keep our prices reasonable and provide accommodations that match the pricing. We've found that guests who are fairly self-sufficient and communicate well have the best experience staying with us. We do our best to provide clean apartments but there have been cleaning issues from time to time. It's difficult to find cleaners in this area who will clean at a fee guests are comfortable paying. Cleaning quotes for a single apartment run from $100 to $325+. If there are cleaning issues, we always work quickly with guests to correct but if it would upset you to work through these things together, for your stress levels and ours, please book elsewhere. Guests looking for space on a budget who are self-sufficient and communicate well have the best experience staying with us. The quality of our apartments is similar to a Best Western, Extended Stay, or Comfort Suites and our prices of $1xx per night reflects this. If you wouldn't stay in these chains, or if you prefer a Hilton or Marriott, there are higher-end Airbnb options available in Alameda so please book with them. We take great care in screening our guests to ensure it is in safe hands. Please leave a message with details of who you are, reason for the visit, and who will be accompanying you, in addition to any details you think would be helpful for us to know. If you leave a short message without detail, we probably won't be able to accommodate. Price is fixed—Airbnb is great in that there are plenty of options to fit everyone's budget! Lastly, we are a husband and wife team managing the property. We are here should guests need anything but we are extremely busy with four young kids and full-time jobs so if you anticipate needing a lot of correspondence or assistance, we unfortunately won't be able to accommodate. It is solidly built but noise can travel so you may hear footsteps/ voices in units next to, or above, you * Most of our bookings are longer stays for 30-120 days but we do have shorter bookings in-between. Guests replenish their own paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc at the nearby Target or corner stores. * This is a self check-in/ self check-out apartment. Instructions will be sent day of check-in. * Check in is anytime starting at 4pm, with a 10 am check out. Please leave the place as you found it, start a load of laundry, and send us a quick text that you’ve checked out. * Pet policy: We accept dogs under 40 lbs, unfortunately no cats due to the damage their urine can cause to flooring. Dogs are an additional $40 per month and a $300 refundable deposit. * No parties or unaccounted for guests
