*Please read our complete house rules and notes before booking!* The log cabin offers closeness to nature and relaxation in the middle of the Black Forest! Our 110 sqm log cabin can accommodate up to 16 people, has an original wood stove for cooking, beautiful wooden bed boxes, 60 sqm view and relaxation deck and much more. Please note that no parties are allowed here and "up to" 16 people can be accommodated. The space Do you love nature and are looking for an extraordinary location for your friends or family in the middle of the Black Forest? Our log cabin Flößerhaus could be the right location for you! The log cabin Flößerhaus can accommodate up to 16 people with sleeping space extensions of 2 camping beds and 2 folding mattresses. Our log cabin was built from local wood from the Black Forest and is located directly on the outskirts of the idyllic village of Schenkenzell. Over the years, the Flößerhaus has been increasingly modernized and now includes a modern rustic interior design as well as lighting: We are particularly proud of the retro-style living room and kitchen lighting, which underlines the charm of the location (more pictures will follow). Furthermore, in the basement there is a basic oven (the wood for it is below the terrace), which provides cozy warmth, a fully equipped kitchen incl. dishes, glasses, cutlery, a large refrigerator (with freezer function) and a kettle. Two people can sleep on the lower single beds of the rustic location. The Flößerhaus is ideal for nature-loving and quiet bachelors and bachelorettes (JGA events), short trips with friends or with family. Guest access If you arrive later, this is absolutely easy thanks to our "independent check-in"! You can conveniently check in with us from 4 pm, because you can enter the house independently of us hosts via a key safe. Please let us know your approximate arrival time for better planning, thank you. Please note the additional information on self check-in in the arrival email, which will be sent 7 days before arrival (check if necessary your spam folder). For this we only need your email address! Other things to note Use of the accommodation: To make you feel completely comfortable, we provide you with our premises and inventory for your stay – of course, for careful use. If something breaks during your stay or if you notice a defect, please let us know immediately via one of the contact channels – thank you! Further information and instructions can also be found in the house folder as well as in the corresponding places in the house. Quiet times: The legal quiet times must be strictly observed. After 10pm, please keep windows and doors closed. Music systems may generally only be used indoors. Even if you are here in the middle of the Black Forest, noise is transmitted very directly to the surrounding neighbors due to the small air line. Therefore: Enjoy the absolute peace and relax in harmony with nature! Cleanliness: When leaving the vacation home, the house must be left swept clean. This includes all rooms, objects and furniture that have been used. The same applies to the outdoor area. All furniture, as well as grill, etc. are to be put back in their place. Basically, we recommend bringing slippers. Please always be careful with the furnishing of the apartment, as if it were your own home :-) Kitchen and its utensils: In the log cabin you can cook both on the wood stove and on the induction plate. Depending on the temperature in the log cabin, the stove can also be used for heating. There are all the utensils for cooking, you can always find more details in the current equipment list on the listing or on our website. When using the wood stove, please be sure to follow the rules of the house folder on site – thank you very much. Note: Only wood may be burned and only use lighters to light it! Independent check-in: With us, check-in is completely independent with the help of the key safe. You will receive the arrival information email from our booking system one week before your arrival. Here you will find the address and the corresponding code for the safe, as well as further information. Important notes: - Please send us your email address in good time so that it can be stored in our booking system for the arrival email. - If the arrival email does not arrive directly in your mailbox 7 days before your arrival, please check your spam or junk mail folder. If there is nothing here either, please contact us immediately. Note on the bed linen/towel package: The following description applies to new bookings from 04/01/2025. For earlier bookings, the service package booked there still applies - in other words: No sheets/towels included! (Different pricing!) Upstairs is the "dormitory," which has two rows of box beds placed opposite each other, offering sleeping capacity for up to ten people. Two more beds are on the ground floor. The duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels have been included in the price since 04/01/25. However, for hygienic reasons, we ask you to put them on yourself. At check-out, please remove the bed linen again and collect it in a pile. Please leave the mattress covers on the mattresses - thank you in advance! For your bed linen, blankets measuring 135 x 200 cm and pillowcases measuring 80 x 80 cm (possibly partly 40 x 80 cm) are required. Registration obligation of guests: Each travel participant must be registered with us before arrival (with the corresponding data). Short-term participants must be registered urgently in order to avoid fines from the authorities. Tourist tax/Konus card: The tourist tax is used to finance the privileges of the Konus card of the respective tourist association. To receive this tourist card printed on thick paper, we ask you to inform us no later than 7 days before arrival. The Konus card is generally prepared free of charge on request and stored on site, which then only has to be signed by you for validity. The visitor's tax is calculated per night/person depending on the municipality. Internet access via Wi-Fi: The apartment has a Wi-Fi router. Feel free to use our own network - you can find the access data in the arrival email as well as in the house folder on site! Trash disposal: Only garbage that has been correctly separated is disposed of. Therefore, please separate into residual waste, paper, waste glass and yellow bag. We are happy to dispose of the yellow bags and paper waste for you free of charge. We only ask you to dispose of the old glass yourself (at the train station in Schenkenzell you will find an old glass container). We will give you a blue 60-liter garbage bag for the residual garbage free of charge per stay. If you produce more residual waste, you may dispose of the additional residual waste via the orange "municipal waste bag" for a fee of 17 EUR or you may take the rest with you. Smoking/outdoor area: Smoking is expressly prohibited inside the property and may therefore only take place outside the building. Smoking is allowed outside, but not on the terrace due to the risk of fire! Please dispose of the cigarette butts properly in the trash can, thank you. Outdoor sauna: The in-house sauna is located outside the log cabin. If you have booked it, you will receive a corresponding operating manual. Due to the statutory rest periods, sauna use is no longer permitted after 22:00. Please leave the sauna in a clean condition so that it can also be enjoyed by other guests in the future – thank you. Barbecue: Due to the forest fire protection ordinance, an electric grill plate is available for grilling in the group accommodation. Please always clean thoroughly after use. Parking: There is no parking at the log cabin itself. For loading and unloading, you can drive by car to the log cabin. Sufficient parking is available below the log cabin opposite the Schlössle. Address: Stockhofweg 7 If these parking spaces are occupied, you will find more parking spaces around the corner towards the main street. Please do not park in the neighbors' parking spaces or on the sidewalk - this can lead to difficulties and complaints! Info for dog owners: In general, you can book your dog, if necessary, register it directly at the time of booking or up to 7 days before arrival. Important: The dog may only remain on the floor, you are welcome to bring your own accessories. Important note about the toilet: When building the log cabin, a toilet/bathroom could be planned, so each group can decide for themselves before booking whether this is feasible for them. The demand is often from even larger groups (+12), which then expand with camping beds, etc. It's all a matter of perspective and handling, everyone as they wish.
