Welcome to Flößerhaus, your Black Forest log cabin in Schenkenzell. The lovingly maintained wooden house is at your exclusive disposal and offers space for up to 16 people on approximately 110 m². You can expect lots of wood, a real cottage atmosphere, an outdoor sauna and beautiful surroundings for a great time together in the Black Forest. Ideal for families, friends and groups who want to spend a few quiet days in nature. The space The Flößerhaus is located on the edge of the local forest of Schenkenzell in the Black Forest. The forest begins right behind the house. Here you have a cozy log cabin with an open living area on two floors, a large patio and plenty of space for cooking, sitting together and relaxing. Lots of wood, the wood-burning stove and the special construction give the house its own character. It is not a modern standard vacation home, but a real Black Forest log cabin for guests seeking nature, peace and time together. The living and dining area is the center of the house. Here you can cook, eat, sit together, play or end the evening by the fireplace. Sleeping areas: The house offers 12 permanent sleeping places and can be extended to accommodate up to 16 people with extra beds if needed. Upstairs is the large sleeping area with 10 beds. There are 2 more permanent sleeping places on the ground floor. The additional sleeping options are prepared depending on the size of the group. Kitchen & self-catering: The kitchen is equipped for self-catering and is well suited for spending time together in the log cabin. The equipment includes a fridge, freezer, 2-burner induction cooktop, coffee maker, kettle, dishes and cutlery. The wood-burning stove and the wood-fired oven are particularly well suited to the house. Sauna, terrace & nature: The accommodation includes a large terrace and an outdoor sauna, which can be booked as an option. The forest begins right behind the house and invites you to take walks, enjoy short breaks and have quiet moments in nature. Guest access You will have the Flößerhaus as a whole to yourselves. Self check-in is possible from 4 pm via a key safe. This way, you can arrive flexibly and independently. Before your arrival, you will receive all the important information by email: • Address for access • Check-in instructions • Code for the key vault • Instructions for using the house • Information about optionally booked extras Please ensure that we have a current email address before your arrival. Important for your arrival: For loading and unloading, you are welcome to drive directly to the Flößerhaus. Afterwards, please use the designated parking lot by the Schlössle so that the access road at the log house remains clear. Thank you very much. Other things to note So that the stay at the Flößerhaus works well for you, the neighborhood and the next guests, there are a few important notes. Many details about the use of the house, the wood stove, the sauna and the other equipment can also be found in the house folder on site. Quiet hours & use: • The Flößerhaus is not a party home for loud partying until late night. • From 10 pm, the statutory quiet hours apply. • After 10 pm, please keep windows and doors closed. • Music is only allowed indoors and at reasonable volume. • The outdoor sauna may be used from 7 am to 10 pm according to quiet hours. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. • Dogs are welcome upon registration. Kitchen, wood-burning stove & grill: • You can cook both on the wood stove and on the induction plate. • Depending on the temperature in the house, the wood stove can be used in addition to heating. • Kitchen utensils are provided. • Please note the house folder on site when using the appliances. • Only suitable wood may be burned. • An electric grill plate is available for grilling. Bed linen, towels & check-out: • Duvet and pillows are provided. • Linen and towels are included in the booking. • The property must be left swept clean. • We ask you to leave used dishes, grill and shared areas tidy. Garbage, guest information, tourist tax & cone card: • Trash must be separated correctly. The exact information can be found on site. • For all overnight guests, the statutory reporting obligation applies. • Guest data must be submitted in full prior to arrival. • There is a tourist tax depending on the municipality. • The cone card can be prepared on request as soon as all guest data is available in time. Bath & Group size: • Please note: The Flößerhaus has one bathroom with shower/toilet. For larger groups, it's important to plan ahead – you'll get a real log cabin experience with lots of time together, a sauna, a fireplace and nature. • From 13 people we prepare extra beds. JGA groups: • Quiet JGA groups are welcome by prior arrangement. • The Flößerhaus is suitable for spending time together in the Black Forest, but not for noisy parties until late at night. Heating / fireplace: • The log house is heated by the wood stove/fireplace. This is precisely what creates the special, cozy cabin atmosphere.
