Beautiful and warm fully equipped chalet in the mountains that can accommodate up to 12 people located on a wooded and private estate on the edge of a stream. Ideal for snowmobile enthusiasts, a federated trail passes directly through our property and gives access to the United States trails. In addition, the private trails on our 800-acre estate give the opportunity to practice forest walking, cycling, mountain biking, off-piste snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing. Guest access Guest access during the summer period, for those who want to enjoy the lakes located a few minutes from the Chalet de l'Orignal on the other side of the American border, we offer for rent two easily transportable inflatable paddleboards. For beautiful hikes, three trails are available to you on the site and in the surrounding area. From the roadside stop at the top of the Magnetic Hill, you can take the border trail that gives you the opportunity to reach Mont-Mégantic or Mount Gosford. There is also the Fourth Connecticut Lake Trail (2.7 km) that runs directly along the border line. You will need to report to US Customs with your passport before taking this one. Between Chartierville and La Patrie, there is the gold mine trail (7 km) that runs along a beautiful stream, a must awaits you towards the end of the trail: the falls of Mining Creek. Please note that the border trail is closed during the fall hunting season. Other things to note In the winter season, it is possible for snowmobile lovers to tour our area and, if desired, take the federal trails.
