This home is uniquely fenced into the world famous Kruger National Park – arguably one of most renowned wildlife reserves on earth, boasting a colossal size of 2.2 million hectares (bigger than Israel), with an incredible diversity of life which yields a count of 147 different mammal species, 336 tree species, and just over 500 species of birds – all being attributed to the vast variety of ecozones found here. The private Mjejane Game Reserve is 4000 hectares in extent, and is located on the southern boundary of the Kruger Park, directly on one of the park’s major 4 rivers – The Crocodile. This southern region is by far the richest in terms of wildlife existence, thus often resulting in very rewarding game viewing. Completed in 2017, Manzini River House was built with the aim of being non-pretentious, casual and easy-living, with the primary emphasis being shielded from the harsh African sun, containing big spacious airy bedrooms, and having a impactful outside area which ignites all ones senses by being on the flood plain of the river overlooking the incredible vista outside. The home is thus intimate, and ideal for families and friends. The word “Manzini” is derived from the Swazi speaking people, and refers to “the place of water”, which was found to be complementary to the location of this home being right on the river with views of the rapids to the West being very iconic. If not out on safari during the golden hour, why not pour yourself an ice cold gin & tonic, and resort upstairs to the viewing deck where you will witness the indescribable sinking of the red African sun, as well as potential sightings of the Big5. Post this humbling experience, gather around the boma fire in front of a crackling wood fire, and let wild Africa take your mind and soul on a healing journey that it may never have been on before...
