Welcome! Busy roads, busy skies. Lots of things flying past my eyes. Where can I go instead? Where can I wake up in peace from bed? Where can I find a remedy, which will grant me this serenity? Well, how about living in isolation for a few days. Experience one of the best bumpy roads anyone can offer. Ditches here and there galore. But a land of isolation worth waiting for. The uneven roads may be considered as part of the journey, but the real journey starts at the Farmer's Retreat Home-stay! The space Need some information about the abode you're going to be staying at? Well come on in! Don't expect a star hotel luxury if you want to taste real Indian rural life. But we can assure you pollution free sky with clear star gazing if you are lucky not to have clouds covering them! But if you have a cloudy day, you may be surprised to see the clouds much closer to you due to the elevation of the region. The chirping of small birds and the calls of the Peacocks. If you are lucky, you may see a full family of peacocks with kids in the farm fields, but you have to get up very early during the dawn to enjoy the sightings. You might have heard of the famous "Moranchi Chincholi" on the Pune-Shirdi road, considered a haven for peacock sightings. Farmer's Retreat is developing into the "Moranchi Chincholi" of Karnataka. While we have traditional bedroom accommodation, you may experiment with outdoor camping experience if you wish. Along with the option of staying inside, one can also opt to live outside the house in a tent for a change. A tent and a sleeping bag will be provided if requested, which can be setup outside the house. The tents do have nets to prevent bugs and mosquitoes from entering, but it should be kept closed to prevent anything from entering when not in use. If one does not want to sleep in the grassy terrain due to fear of animals, then they can move the tent to the roof and get an "under the moon" experience as you feel closer to it. Guest access The full property (bedroom booked plus shared living room and kitchen) are available for access. During your stay Two day-time on-site Farmer ladies caretakers are available to hand over and take back the keys as well as to introduce you to the property. I or my family members may be there at the farm occasionally only. Other things to note A fully equipped kitchen is available for use. Self-cooking is recommended but arrangement to assist in food preparation can be provided at advance notice and extra costs.
