The Little Barn - Peaceful hideaway close to town.

This charming and spacious barn with a loft room is nestled amongst acres of lush green trees, plants, fruits, and flowers. Perfect for those seeking a good night's rest after exploring the Bay of Plenty or wanting a bit of solitude and personal space for a mini yoga/meditation retreat. It is also within walking distance of the wedding venue Omahanui. The natural harbour for swimming, a fishing jetty and slipway are a couple of kms away and lovely nature walks within easy reach. The space On the first floor, there is a kitchen and dining area as well as living room with a couch, comfy chair and two single daybeds. The renovated bathroom is also located on the first floor and contains a modern shower. We have an ‘au naturelle’ outdoor shower for a starry night experience. Please ask if you would like a Weber BBQ provided. Located on the second floor is the loft bedroom with queen bed, lots of natural light, a working desk and lovely balcony where you can sit and absorb the calming sights and sounds of nature. Towels, bed linens, and duvet are provided. There is WiFi and a flat screen smart TV, NETFLIX and a selection of DVDs, board games and a music player that are available for entertainment. Please note.: This is a rural area so phone and network coverage can fluctuate and be patchy. It may be necessary at times to move to get your phone ‘ talking ‘ Cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, tea kettle, coffee maker, a small counter top two plate stove/oven, a microwave and fridge are also part of the kitchen equipment. Guest access A parking space is right in front of the barn. One car only and extra space for more on the grassy lawn behind the barn Other things to note Extra person(s) ON REQUEST for downstairs beds. Additional fee per person applies. Only booked guests to stay unless by agreement. We request that NO PARTIES are held at any time but one or two friends over will be no problem if they leave by 12 am. WEDDINGS: Wedding preparation welcome: If a full wedding party is using our venue prior to a wedding then please email as special arrangements for parking, deliveries and use of utilities will be needed to be made in advance. Please tidy and remove any refuse over and above average or be prepared to pay an additional fee to cover the extra work involved. LONG STAYS: Regarding cleaning. Unless otherwise agreed an extra fee will be charged at $30 for an hour of cleaning once a week. Floors and bathrooms....just to keep the place in good condition. Linen will be replaced by arrangement.
