The Cider House: Farm Cottage, Burrington, Devon.

Enjoy breath-taking views across the Devon countryside from this picturesque stone cottage. A beautiful place to rest and recuperate in complete peace and quiet. On a clear night the view of the stars is stunning. There is easy access to the whole of North Devon with plenty of things to see and do nearby. We have a resident peacock, a barn owl, two farm cats, hens and sheep. Children and dogs are welcome. We have a swing, knotted rope, walkable grounds and indoor and outdoor toys. The space The cottage is one of a pair (Cider and Talot) of converted traditional farm buildings, both available as whole property lets, separately or together . Cider cottage originally served the apple orchard which is still there. There are three bedrooms (1 double, 1 single and a twin room), a fully kitted out kitchen, bathroom with a shower and a sitting room with a writing desk. Books, games and DVDs are available in the cottage for you during your stay. The cottage is powered by electricity and water is supplied from our local spring which is very soft. There is a log burner and logs for your first night. The cottages are surrounded by open fields with grazing sheep. From every window there is a lovely view. Guest access Cider cottage and its back garden are for your exclusive use. You are welcome to wander in the nearby fields which form part of Hill Farm. There is a shared front garden and parking spaces, close to the cottage. We can trickle charge an electric car for a small fee. Please be mindful of how many cars you bring for your stay, as space is limited and we aim to reduce carbon emissions. Other things to note As the name suggests, Hill Farm sits on the top of a hill. The nearest shop is a mile away so come prepared with essentials and the food you need for your first meal. We provide necessities: tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, soap, toilet rolls and towels are supplied in the cottage. Additionally, a local farm can supply readymade meals and we can usually supply fresh farm eggs, bread and milk. The cottage next door, Talot cottage, sleeps 4 guests and they can be rented as a pair. We also have space for 4 guests across 2 rooms situated in the main house.
