One of a Kind Farmstead Experience

A one of a kind farmstead experience, stay in a newly constructed barn on our 350 acre dairy farm. The Mattingly farm is home to Kenny's Cheese, farmstead cheese made right here on our farm and you have a unique opportunity to stay in the heart of the action, in our brand new apartments directly above the dairy barn. You will be welcomed by our friendly dairy cows and possibly a new baby calf, or two. And because our cheese is AMAZING, we will leave some in the fridge for you to try. The space *Must climb stairs – located on the 2nd floor *Apartment entrance houses an observation deck overlooking cows in the barn *View our new state of the art robot milkers *Might see a calf being born *Brand new fully furnished apartment– new appliances, mattresses etc. *Locally made bars of soap left for each new guest *KFHC cheese in fridge *KFHC is directly next door so you could stroll over to view cheese making, samples *Beautiful country setting overlooking fields, cows grazing etc. *Take a hike on our 350 acre farm *Large shared outdoor deck *30 miles to Mammoth Cave *40 miles to Corvette Museum in Bowling Green *8 miles to Barren River State Resort Park *120 miles to Louisville (Home of Churchill Downs) *80 miles to Nashville, TN (Music City) *Wall mounted flat screen TV with cable access *Free wifi access We have a second unit in this same barn that is one bedroom/bath with a door that can open into both. Book both apartments to accommodate larger groups. Guest access Guest will have access to the apartment of course - as well as unique access to the farm, the chance to view cheese making and an authentic experience of our dairy farm. Our cheese shop is open 10-2 Friday and Saturday, if you are staying with us during one of those days please stop in during that time. If you are staying with us during the week and want to purchase some cheese please let us know and we will work to accommodate you. Sunday is the only day of the week that no one will be in the shop. Other things to note You will hear cows, the cow feed auger and possibly other farm noises such as the tractor. Most guests do not see this as an issue. Please Note: We are on Central Standard Time There is NOT a full range oven in this apartment. We do provide a two burner hotplate, a microwave, George Foreman, and a toaster oven.
