My unusual house was part of a 19c brewery, converted from a workshop in 1930s. 4 miles from M5 Junc 13; 1 mile from Stroud station+town centre with its famous Saturday Farmers Market. 4 buses stop nearby: routes go to Stroud, Gloucester, Painswick, Cheltenham. Close to Stroudwater Canal's restored footpath to/from town. Wonderful views from nearby high ground, out across the Severn Vale. Fridge for self-service breakfast: cereals/toast/yoghurt/juice, fruit, teas/coffee No cats/dogs in house. The space The accommodation is on the first floor (easy staircase). The bed is a standard double size (4ft 6ins). The ensuite facilities include toilet, wash-basin and bath (no shower). Kettle and toaster are in bedroom. The fridge and microwave, on the adjacent landing sitting-area, are for your exclusive use. Large balcony on the floor below is also sometimes available in summer months. Guest access Access to the upper floor of the house is via my old-fashioned kitchen/dining room. Visitors will normally have the upper floor to themselves. My own accommodation is on the floor below. In good weather guests may also have breakfast on the balcony on the main leuel of the house. During your stay I know the Stroud area well and will gladly give information and recommendations of places to visit, walks, eating places, pubs, etc, if wanted. Other things to note No parking at the house, but a large public car park (free for 48 hours) is 4-minutes walk way. There is also some free on-street parking on the nearby main road.
