Beautifully restored church

Welcome to our peaceful village home, where comfort and relaxation come first. We offer three beautifully presented bedrooms—a spacious king, a comfortable double and a twin—each with Egyptian cotton linen and cosy feather duvets. A light breakfast is included, with tea and coffee always available. We aim to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The space You’ll be sharing the house with us during your stay, and we’ll be around if you need anything, while always giving you your space. We moved to the UK from Australia in 2004 and are very used to having guests—it’s something we really enjoy. Our home has become a bit of a home away from home for travellers, and we love hearing people’s stories. The house itself is a beautifully restored former church, renovated in 2007. It’s full of character, with a lovely garden, and it gives us much pleasure to share it with our guests. Guest access You’ll receive a warm welcome on arrival to help you settle in comfortably. Guests have access to driveway parking for up to four vehicles. During your stay, you’re welcome to enjoy a private guest bathroom featuring both a bath and a lovely, spacious shower, as well as a comfortable living room with TV, a dining area, and a cloakroom. You’re also invited to relax in the garden, perfect for unwinding in peaceful surroundings. Breakfast is included, with tea and coffee available at all times. Guests are very welcome to use the kitchen for making drinks and light refreshments; however, it isn’t set up for full meal preparation as we use it to prepare breakfast. We’re always happy to chat or help during your stay, and evening meals may be arranged on request. During your stay We want you to feel completely at home during your stay, as if the house is yours to enjoy. While we always respect your privacy, we’re around if you need anything, whether that’s help with local plans or just a chat. We’re sociable and enjoy good food and wine, sport, gardening, music, and the occasional film, and we’re always happy to share recommendations or conversation if you feel like it. Other things to note We are just 7 minutes from Twyford Station, with direct access to the Elizabeth Line, making it easy to reach central London in around an hour. There is an abundance of wonderful places to visit and things to do locally, including Windsor Castle (with the Changing of the Guard on most days), Royal Windsor Racecourse, Ascot Racecourse, Theatre Royal Windsor, Cartier Polo, Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Festival, Eton College, the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Cliveden House & Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, Blenheim Palace, LEGOLAND, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Twickenham, the home of English rugby. For golf enthusiasts, we are ideally located for some of Berkshire’s finest courses, including Wentworth, Sunningdale and The Berkshire. Twyford is also an excellent base for exploring further afield. Oxford and Bath are both easy day trips by train, while London is within easy reach via the Elizabeth Line. If you enjoy walking or cycling, there are numerous beautiful routes nearby, providing a wonderful way to explore the countryside, villages and historic towns of the area. Windsor Great Park and The Savill Garden are also particularly lovely places to spend a day. Whether you are visiting for a special event, exploring the area, enjoying the countryside or simply looking for an easy base from which to discover the region, there is plenty to enjoy right on our doorstep.
