My approach is guest-led – if you're in the mood for a chat, I'm always happy to engage in conversation. If you prefer your own space, I completely respect that too. Your comfort and preferences are my priority. I only host one booking at a time, so you will only be sharing the space with me and not with other guests. This ensures a more secure and private experience during your stay. Occasionally, my girlfriend may also stay, but you will never have to share the space with other strangers. A note for solo female travellers: I understand you may have concerns about staying with a male host. Please know that I prioritise your comfort and security. I'm an experienced host who respects guests' privacy and personal space. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns – I'm here to ensure you feel at ease throughout your stay. As your host, I'm happy to share local tips or give you all the space you need. My interests include growing vegetables, enjoying nature, and travelling. If you're feeling adventurous, ask me about my karate classes or Latin dancing! I often travel to festivals in my self-built camper van, so you might even get the place to yourself during your stay. While there's no TV in the bedroom, you're welcome to join me for some social viewing in the living room. The kitchen is at your disposal for light meal prep, and there are plenty of cafes and shops nearby for more substantial fare. Please note: • There will be some train noise, as we're close to the station • The maisonette is accessed via stairs and may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues • Enquiries sent on Tuesday and Thursday evenings may receive a slower reply, as I teach karate classes during these times and my phone is switched off • The garden is shared with my downstairs neighbour, but you'll have access to my own section Whether you're here for work or a weekend getaway, I'm committed to making your stay in the England's best place to live comfortable, safe, and memorable. I look forward to welcoming you to Twyford! Guest access Enjoy full access to our shared spaces: Fully equipped kitchen for your culinary needs Comfortable lounge with communal TV - perfect for social viewing Clean, modern bathroom Secure bicycle storage in the locked shed Your private room is a tranquil TV-free zone, ideal for relaxation. A front door key ensures easy coming and going throughout your stay. During your stay I understand that most guests prefer their own space and privacy during their stay. Rest assured, I respect your need for a quiet and uninterrupted visit. As a friendly and experienced host, I'm here to help whenever needed. If you'd like to chat or spend time in the communal areas, you're more than welcome. For those interested in more active pursuits, feel free to ask me about my karate classes or Latin dance sessions. I'm usually here by myself, but occasionally my girlfriend may visit. Other things to note Breakfast - some guests enjoy it, while others prefer to skip it. To accommodate everyone's different tastes and expectations, I have chosen not to provide breakfast and keep the room price low. There are plenty of shops and cafes in town to ensure you won't go hungry. You're welcome to bring your own items to refrigerate and make basic use of the kitchen facilities. Complimentary coffee and tea are always available. Being close to the train station is convenient but also means there is some train noise. The train line is concealed at the bottom of an embankment at the end of the garden, so please be aware that you might hear some train traffic if you're not accustomed to it. My place is a two-level maisonette with access to my floor via a stairway, which unfortunately may make it unsuitable for some disabled guests. Smokers are welcome to smoke outside. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the supplied jar.
