Kamara Stone house in a traditional Cretan village

A two level stone house, fully equipped, with a fantastic mountain view that ensures an unrivalled holiday experience in an authentic Cretan village. Hidden from the busy destinations, but close to all amenities and only a few minutes’ drive from lovely beaches. An area excellent for touring, walking, cycling, following nature trails, bird watching and experiencing Cretan gastronomy. Accommodates 4 (double bed on the 1st floor, sofa bed in the living room). Ideal for couples, families & friends. The space The Kamara House is a stone-made residence located in the heart of the picturesque village of Vrachasi, in Lasithi Crete. It was built in 2012 on the foundations of a traditional Cretan 18th century house, of which remained standing only the “kamara”, a semicircular arch made of stone which is a characteristic feature of the Cretan folk architecture. The two storey house is 79 square meters and can accommodate up to 4 guests. On the first floor, there is a double bedroom, a bathroom and a balcony with great view that can also be enjoyed from the inside through the big windows. On the ground floor there is an open fully-equipped kitchen, a small bathroom with a shower and a cozy living room overlooking the street, with a fireplace, a secretary desk and a sofa that converts to a double bed. The small storage room on the ground floor serves as storage space and is not available to guests. Kamara House is equipped with: - Air conditioning (downstairs & upstairs) - Washing machine - Dish washer - Fridge/freezer - Oven - Coffee machines (Nespresso & filter) - Toaster - Iron and ironing board - Hairdryer - TV and - WiFi. Guest access Full access with the exception of the small storage room on the ground floor Other things to note - We would like our guests to feel and to behave as if they were in their own home. - If you have small children you should take into consideration that there is a steep staircase to the first floor. - Agios Nikolaos’ General Hospital is 20 minutes’ drive away from Vrachasi, a public health center is located in Neapolis which is a 5 minutes’ drive away, while a doctor holds a surgery once in a week in Vrachasi.
