Description

Stunning 5-bedroom semi-detached house with large garden and ample parking, situated in a peaceful valley, and only a 5 minute walk from the beautiful sands of Porthcothan beach. Close to the South West Coastal Path, so there is plenty of walking to be enjoyed whilst the nearby towns offer plenty of great restaurants and amenities to entertain adults and children alike. The space The Mill House is a semi detached house built in 1897 and is situated at the end of a quiet, rough track in a beautiful valley, only a 5 minute walk from a sandy beach. Owing to being the penultimate house on this private road, it is very peaceful and is the perfect combination of coastal and country. The house has 5 bedrooms and was entirely refurbished in 2013/14. It boasts a large kitchen dining area with ample space for 10 to dine, whilst a modest sized living room is situated off this space and contains a wood burning stove. The living room has a modern, internet enabled TV and there is very good wifi at the house. The house is split over three floors with a substantial bathroom on each floor, fitted with power showers and heated towel rails to dry your beach clothes. The top floor is one entire bedroom and ensuite bathroom with original feature wall and skylights and dormer windows that provide nice views over the garden and valley to the rear. There are four rooms on the 1st floor comprising of a children's room with a bunk bed for two, a further room with two separate beds, followed by a small room with a double bed and larger room with double bed adjacent to the bathroom. The large garden is situated to the front of the house and offers plenty of space for children to play. The garden is south facing and therefore gets the sun virtually all day. There is a patio area with a table and seating for at least 8 whilst a dairy provides storage space for surfboards and other beach gear. There is a brick built BBQ adjacent to the patio for the outdoor cooking enthusiasts. The parking borders the garden and can accommodate at least 4 cars when well parked. If needed, a car can also park to the left hand side of the house. The beach is accessed via a footpath across the field. Owing to this, depending on the weather, this footpath can become muddy and wet so wellies or walking boots are recommended. Guest access The entire house is open with the only restriction a locked shed in the garden where some personal beach equipment is held. Other things to note IMPORTANT - you will be required to bring your own bed linen and towels. This property is self catered for the avoidance of doubt. The house will be cleaned prior to your arrival and will be cleaned once again on your departure. Cleaning during your stay is entirely your responsibility. You can arrive at the property after 4pm on the first day and will be asked to leave the property by 10am on departure day to enable sufficient time for cleaning prior to the next guests. This semi-detached house shares a road with the adjacent neighbour and therefore they will pass in front of the house from time to time. The road is situated between the house and garden. Our two houses are the penultimate on the road so there is no passing traffic other than occasional walkers getting lost. The road to the house is steep at times and also rough. This property is strictly no smoking but pets (maximum of 2) are welcome.
