Family-friendly spacious Balgonar Cottage

Balgonar Cottage is away from it all yet just 40 minutes from Edinburgh. With its own self-contained garden, it is set in the grounds of small estate adjacent to a working farm. Here you can enjoy a peaceful rural environment in a truly central location. Glasgow and St Andrews are just an hour away while Stirling and Perth about 30 minutes. It is an ideal base for a family touring Scotland but equally is perfect for groups of workmates on temporary postings to anywhere in Central Scotland The space The cottage was originally built for the estate chauffeur about 150 years ago. It has since been extended to provide delightful spacious accommodation with plenty of off-road parking as well as a garden. In the summer garden furniture is provided so it is a great spot for a BBQ. Guest access Guests are welcome to smoke in the cottage garden Other things to note If any guests are interested in farming we would be delighted to show you around by prior arrangement. It is a working farm however and no guests should enter the farm yard or sheds in any other circumstances. If you like walking there is a track right opposite the cottage which is a mile long and takes you up to some stunning landscape with many of the best views in the whole of central Scotland. Dogs are welcome, by prior arrangement, at a charge of £20 per dog, per booking. (Maximum 2 dogs) This is payable on arrival. Please see House Rules regarding dogs.
