Goose Dub Getaway is our wonderful private outbuilding within the grounds of our rural home. Modern bathroom with walk in shower, WC, sink. Private kitchen with under counter fridge freezer, sink, combi microwave oven, single induction hob, kettle, toaster, fitted units and work top. We provide tea, coffee and continental breakfast (bread, butter, jam, orange, cereals, yogurts and milk). King size bed with hotel quality bedding. Comfortable floor mattress can be made available with bedding should you wish to bring a child or friend. Smart TV, free Wi-Fi. Robes and slippers provided. Dining table, plates, cutlery and glasses provided. Access is via the driveway and car park with lovely views of our large garden, stables and paddock. We stable our 2 horses here all winter and usually at the weekend in the summer months. We have a "wood fired" hot tub that has been imported from Sweden. This is not connected to any power and is heated purely by burning wood, the only noise you will hear is the crackling of the fire (no humming of jets that you would get in an jacuzzi powered by electric and no chemicals). It is so peaceful and so many guests have said how well they have slept. The tub can be used with prior arrangement as it takes around 3 hours to heat, in summer a little less. It is a fantastic way to relax, unwind and view the stars, whatever the weather. There is an option of a free standing large umberella that we can put up in the rain, but not if it is too windy. We heat the tub to around 39, 40 degrees but you can add more wood to the fire to heat up or cool via the cold water hose, whatever your preference!! Or cool yourself down with our cold water bucket shower!! Each time the tub is used we clean, refill, heat and then will leave you in peace to enjoy the wonderful experience. You can use the tub for as long as you wish, but you will need to top up with wood yourselves. Open a bottle of wine and chill!! (Please note that use of the tub is at your own risk) There is a table and chairs behind the "Getaway" for your use, you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet within our large garden. As we are grandparents we have a toddler slide, swing, sand pit that can be used should you bring a little one with you. As the hot tub is just outside the getaway you can leave your child to sleep while relaxing in the hot tub. We are very dog friendly but please be aware that our horses live here in the winter and will be in the paddock during the day. We also have 2 leg horn white hens and 4 rescue hens that you can see wandering down the garden. If you wish to have an egg for breakfast there is usually a supply. Guest access Access is down a quiet lane, with no street lighting . We have an enclosed plot and access to our Getaway is down the drive into a parking area and into the private dwelling. We are 2 miles from Churchtown, around 5 miles north of Southport Other things to note Pet friendly. We have a nominal charge of £7 per dog. Hot tub is included in the price. Should two guests require the additional floor mattress there is an additional charge of £7. This needs to be left in cash as there is no setting for this in Airbnb and there is more washing and setting up to provide this. Continental breakfast is left in the fridge for you to enjoy in peace, when you wish. Feel free to bring in a takeaway and refreshments of your choice, crockery, cutlery and glasses are provided.
