Paul's place
Description
This flat is close to public transport and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The street outside is extremely quiet, and this apartment is at the rear of the main building, thus ensuring a truly peaceful stay for our guests. It is ideally oriented towards the southwest, capturing maximum sun, late morning to late evening. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. This is not my original studio/loft of earlier times!! Key words: Calm, sunny, modern!! The space Maximum stay is stated as 15 days, but can be extended on request with fuller details of reason for visit. The apartment is on the first floor of an outbuilding at the rear of the main, hundred-year old, Liège townhouse. The apartment looks out on to my private garden and a wooded hill in the distance. The apartment is not overlooked by neighbouring residences, ensuring guests have excellent privacy. There is a high-speed Ethernet connection if needed (although the WiFi is excellent!), suitcase storage, and other minor details that make a long-term stay more pleasant. The large, double-glazed windows throughout ensure that it is very luminous, and it is a real suntrap; reason for which we have installed air conditioning throughout. It is a truly charming and well-appointed apartment with a very large southwest facing terrace. It is composed of a shower area, bedroom, entrance hall, toilet, living area and large, well-appointed kitchen with a truly complete range of equipment for guests wanting to do any serious cooking. Electric oven, and a four-hob induction cooker. Guest access The apartment is within easy walking distance of both the historic area and the modern centre of Liège, and is served by 3 different bus lines which all stop at the end of the main street. There is a well-stocked supermarket at the end of the street with good opening hours, and the usual selection of small shops nearby. There is no parking on the premises, but parking on the street is free 24/7, and usually easy enough to secure in close proximity. There is a small amount of storage on the premises for people wishing to unload valuable items from their vehicle. Other things to note The large terrace is a key, focal point and is ideal for relaxed evenings with al fresco eating and drinking. The kitchen is really, really well-equipped, and if there were to be some key item that was vital to your culinary expertise, it should be possible to get hold of it (try to warn me ahead of your arrival!).
