D-HOUSE, Zlarin, authentic holiday house- center

Situated in the centre of Zlarin, this authentic, Mediterranean house stands within few minutes of walk from the sea, bars, restaurants, fresh produce stall, grocery store, etc., yet its orientation and patio with garden give it a sense of refuge and privacy. The house includes multiple outdoor spots- patio with fragrant garden and a large terrace. The space QUICK HOUSE DESCRIPTION: GROUND FLOOR- kitchen, dining & relaxing area, bathroom with toilet, ground terrace, garden and outdoor solar-heated shower, laundry room FIRST FLOOR- one small double bedroom, separate room with TV and toilet, spacious upper terrace LOFT- one spacious double bedroom with baby crib and relaxing area DETAILED HOUSE DESCRIPTION: The house consists of a ground floor with kitchen, dining and relaxing area and a bathroom with shower. It is called 'konoba' due to its traditional looking interior with walls of stone which keeps it naturally cool even in warm temperatures. The view from there is a relaxing one- at the garden, cypress trees and green, sun-soaked hill Klepac. It is accompanied by characteristic sound of crickets in hot summer sun and divine fragrance of indigenous plants from our garden. There is the solar-heated shower outdoors and the laundry room space. An elegant external staircase leads to an upper terrace with an entrance to the first floor rooms and the loft above. The terrace is an ideal place for breakfasts or late night conversations, perhaps along a bottle of wine. The first floor consists of a small double bedroom furnished with simple, old fashioned furniture with a window overlooking the garden, and of a separate room with TV and a toilet/wc. The second bedroom is in the loft just above the first floor- spacious room containing a large double bed, crib and relaxing area for two, surrounded by antique furniture and details and what was, in old times, a cooking fireplace (nowadays out of use). This truly is a beautiful yet unpretentious traditional house. Guest access Once you get in Zlarin the host or the host's representative will wait for you at the pier and lead you to the house. If you have lots of baggage please inform us in advance so we can arrange its delivery to the house. We are not far from the boat but we usually take the longer way to the house because it is stairs-free so people can simply pull their baggage. The 'longer' way takes approx. 9 mins of walk. WAYS TO GET TO THE ISLAND: Zlarin is one of few islands on the Adriatic Sea which do not allow access to cars, so here is how to get here: 1. Leave your car in Šibenik (the mainland city). You can take a regular ship- 25 min. to Zlarin or Taxi Boat- 15 mins. In the city you can park in payed car parks. For more info on this, please contact us. 2. Leave your car in Vodice and take a regular ship- 40 min to Zlarin. 3. Fly to Split and ask me to organise you a taxi to Šibenik (takes about 45 mins). 4. Fly to Zadar and take a shuttle or taxi 60 km to Šibenik Other things to note June in Zlarin- come in June if you need to rest your mind and soul and if you really want to experience the beauty of the island. :) There are much less people, it's nice and quiet, not too hot but you can swim, you can go for long walks and you can ride your bikes. Zlarin has 2 biking tracks for you! July in Zlarin- July is dinamic, lively and it means true summer with lots of people, music/ parties/ cultural events. August in Zlarn- it is as well dinamic, lively and it means true summer with lots of people, music, parties and cultural events. September in Zlarin- again, come if you need to rest your mind and soul. :) There are much less people, it's nice and quiet, not too hot but you can still swim, you can go for long walks and you can ride your bikes.
