This charming vintage rustic multi-cabin camp is located right on Dodge Pond! Founded circa 1850, Gray Gables has been a beloved family summer destination for generations. Enjoy water sports, hiking, biking, beautiful sunset/mountain views, fishing from the dock or simply relaxing in the hammock. Comfortably sleeps 14. 5 cabins-4 connected by a huge covered porch-the 5th is a bunkhouse situated in the backyard. Located about halfway between the historic towns of Rangeley & Oquossoc. The space Gray Gables was founded circa 1850 and was originally a lumber camp. The cabins were converted into a family summer camp around the turn of the century. The Gray family purchased the camp in 1937 and it has been our family's summer gathering place for five generations. Cabins: Gray Gables consists of 5 cabins, 4 connected by a huge front porch. The Loon Cabin features 2 bedrooms, an open space with 2 twin beds and an ensuite half bath. The Lodge Cabin contains the great room with a wood burning fireplace, full bath & a bedroom with a queen bed. The Dining Cabin contains a full kitchen and a separate dining room. The Bear Cabin has a queen bed. The Cubs' Cabin is located in the back yard and contains two bunk beds. The full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, microwave, double sink) is completely stocked with plates, cups, eating utensils, cooking pots, a coffee maker, etc. While hot running water is available, please drink and cook using the spring water provided in the water cooler and large bottles in the kitchen. The cabins are not heated but electric blankets are available, along with space heaters and fans. Linens and towels are included. There is a propane grill available in the back yard. Guest access Guests may use the two canoes and kayaks stored on property. Life preservers are located in the Lodge bathroom. Paddles are stored in the rafters of the front porch. Guests may use the fishing poles, games and books that are in the Lodge, along with all items stored in the Wangan (small shed). Other things to note Your vacation stay will run for a minimum of seven days, with check-in Saturday afternoon any time after 3:00 P.M. and check-out the following Saturday morning by 10:00 A.M.
