Entire Holiday Home - Constantine Bay 3 min walk

Jaspers is a family and dog-friendly holiday cottage, with stunning Constantine Bay three minutes walk away. It can sleep up to eight people, and has a large private garden and an open fire in the sitting room. It's a great place from which to explore beautiful beaches, coastal footpaths, cycling the Camel Trail, Padstow, Trevose Golf Club, authentic pubs and good restaurants. One week minimum stay high season, three nights stay minimum out of season; a great place for remote working/holiday. The space Jaspers is a four-bedroomed bungalow with a large garden; it’s a functional and simple holiday home rather than five-star luxury accommodation. When the weather is fine you can have three meals a day outside in the garden, with all the time in-between spent relaxing, surfing or rock-pooling on the beach. Out of season, the dramatic coastline is superb for walking and enjoying the natural world. The garden is fully enclosed and dog-escape proof. Jaspers has excellent WiFi, so an out of season escape can be combined with remote working. During high season, being from after summer half-term to early September, bookings run from Monday to Monday. The Bedrooms: The Pink room has a King Size bed, dressing table with vanity mirror, wardrobe, two chests of drawers, two bedside lights, large window looking over the lawn towards the sea. The Blue Room has two Single beds, bedside table with bedside light, wardrobe, chest of drawers, large mirror, large window looking over the lawn towards the sea. The Annex, accessed from the sitting room, has two Single beds (can be pushed together to make a Double), wardrobe + mirror, bedside table with bedside light, sliding patio door leading to the garden, and a large en-suite bathroom comprising bath, lavatory and basin. The Orange Room contains bunk beds, chest of drawers, bedside light, desk and a window facing the raised garden to the rear of the property. NB The bunk beds are only suitable for occupancy by children. Bathrooms: There is one ensuite (part of the Annex as described above), a separate bathroom with shower in bath and a separate lavatory. Hot water is available on demand from a combi-boiler. However, as the water temperature is very hot, we recommend caution when using any of the hot taps or shower. Sitting room/Dining room: This is a large dual aspect sitting/dining room. The sitting room section includes working fireplace, two leather chairs, two smaller chairs, a two/three seater sofa, window seat, coffee table, WiFi, smart TV (including Netflix, visitors need to use their own login for Netflix) and a large window looking over the garden towards the sea. The dining room portion includes a circular dining table with 6 chairs (though there are enough chairs in the property to accommodate 8 at the table) and window overlooking the raised garden to the rear of the property. There is a service hatch through to the kitchen. Kitchen: This is split into two main areas, the back kitchen houses the fridge/freezer as well as the dishwasher and washing machine. There is a backdoor which leads out past the rear of the property to the upper lawn. The rest of the kitchen is galley style and is fully stocked with cutlery, crockery and all manner of cooking utensils. There is a large sink and an electric hob with grill and oven. There are several kitchen cupboards, as well as a pantry. The hallway links the kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, lavatory, Pink, Blue and Orange rooms . It contains a large coat rack, and shoe rack by the front door. The garden – the driveway leads directly to the bungalow from the gate to the main road and can accommodate parking for three or four cars. The driveway splits the main two lawn areas of the garden. The upper lawn separates the bungalow from the public road leading down to Constantine bay, with privacy from the road afforded by a hedge. There is a rotary drier, and a patio area. The lower lawn is more private as it is surrounded on all sides apart from the driveway by tall hedges. Hidden within one of the hedges is an old WW2 air raid shelter, close to which there is a rose garden. Around the back of the cottage are raised flower beds as well as a garden shed. A summerhouse on the lower lawn has a small patio area in front of it, perfect for catching the morning sun over breakfast. The summerhouse contains garden furniture as well as variety of surfboards you are free to use – the key to the lock can be found in the kitchen cupboard above the dishwasher. Other notes: while there is excellent WiFI, there is no mobile phone reception at the cottage. Signals for most networks can usually be obtained by a short walk uphill to the shop. The property is not on mains drainage which means you have to be very careful what is flushed down the toilets and sinks – no towels, nappies or other sanitary products can be flushed and should be placed in the sanitary bins provided. Entry to the house is by three stone steps up from the end of the driveway/garden to the front door. Well behaved dogs (max two) are welcome; however they must not be allowed onto the beds or other furniture. Guest access The whole cottage and garden is yours. Other things to note Garden furniture, surf boards, a barbecue, are all available for visitors to use in the garden. Kindling, logs, coal, fire-lighters are all supplied for the open fire in the sitting room.
