Batch Hut (Dog Friendly but just one please)
Batch Hut (Dog Friendly but just one please)
Description
Wooden clad hut set in the heart of Upwey village, it’s similar to a Shepherd's Hut but slightly bigger. The hut is sited in a field only 3 minutes walk from two local pubs, set on the Jurassic Trail so country walks in abundance, 5 min drive to Weymouth Beach. This is ideally suited for those wanting down to earth but acceptable accommodation. Everybody who has stayed here has really enjoyed the country setting and although basic I have been told many times that the photos don't do it justice. The space Small bathroom with toilet, shower, and basin. The Kingsize bed is raised with room underneath for your friendly dog (STRICKLY one dog only, max size Labrador). The small living area has table and chairs, a kitchenette with sink a gas hob, fridge and most importantly a wood burner to keep you warm. The power for this hut is solar panels and batteries so there is a limit of usable electric so NO hairdryers, straighteners, irons or toasters. The field is home to chickens so fresh eggs are normally yours for the taking. This is a unique stay and is rural but with village amenities on you doorstep. Ideal for those wanting cosy basic nature break. Parking is on entrance track with a 30 second walk across grass to hut so bring your wellies and a torch. Check in is between 3pm and 8pm if you can’t make it before 8pm please check before booking. Note, no camper/large vans or camping please. Guest access Ample Free Parking Other things to note Although already mentioned the huts electricity is powered by solar panels (battery) it’s never been a problem and adds to the fun of your stay. Due to our location in dry summer months BBQs have to be located in the gravel area and at no time at all do we allow camp fires or fire pits.
