Welcome to my 4‑storey Victorian townhouse on a lovely, leafy square in central Penrith, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, bus station and local restaurants and shops. The two double bedrooms are on the top floor, and whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple or as a group of four, you’ll have exclusive use of one or both rooms plus the private bathroom. I never host another party at the same time, so the space is entirely yours. The space Both bedrooms are on the top floor of our family home. It’s a peaceful setting with comfy double beds and a private shower room just across the hall. You’re welcome to make yourself at home in the rest of the house, especially the kitchen‑diner. Do note, as it is a townhouse, there are several flights of stairs. Penrith is on the coast‑to‑coast route, with great rail links and the M6 nearby. The Lakes are easy to reach for walking or cycling, including by public transport. Guest access Feel free to make yourself at home in the shared spaces — the living rooms with their comfy sofas, TV, piano and open fire, as well as the spacious kitchen‑diner downstairs. I include a light breakfast (toast, fruit or cereal), and if you’re heading out for a full day of walking or cycling, I’m happy to cook a cooked breakfast for £5pp. You’re welcome to make hot drinks, use the fridge, and if you’d like to join our evening meal, I’m glad to share it (£6pp). Meals can be vegetarian, vegan or Slimming World friendly. There’s also a lockable shed for a couple of bikes, and I can help with on‑street parking permits. During your stay I will try to help you out as much as I can when you are staying - whether that is suggestions of things to do, good cycle routes or fells to walk. I usually am around to greet you when you arrive and make sure you have settled in. I also have a key safe so that you can have more freedom and can come and go as you please.
