The Perfect Escape with A Lake View A beautiful, comfortable and spacious period villa set in the historical part of Menaggio with a wonderful view of the lake. The property has been lovingly restored in keeping with original features and a joy to experience. The town centre is less than a 5-min stroll with excellent access to all that Lake Como has to offer. The space The villa space is over 3 floors and part of the historic Castello. The ground floor is open plan with a modern kitchen, welcoming living space and attractive dining room. It is light and airy with an historical feel. The kitchen is fully equipped. The WiFi is the fastest available and NetFlix accessible. A balcony is encapsulating for catching the sun and viewing the lake. The first floor has two bedrooms and one bathroom. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage and hanging space. The main bedroom is large and has an oversized double bed. The second bedroom has two single beds, one of which opens up into a double. The bathroom is modern with a good shower, hair dryer and bidet. The lower ground floor, accessed by a spiral staircase from the ground floor balcony, has a garden with a great outlook. It’s exposed to the sunlight for most of the day, and into the evening in the summer with some welcome shade. Outdoor furniture is available. Please note 1. The villa is above Menaggio in the historical part of the town. It’s just 4-mins to walk downhill and 7-8-mins to walk back uphill. One scoop of gelato gets you there but, please note, that the less able may struggle. 2. We don’t think the Villa is easy for families with babies or very young children. The street is cobbled and the property is on a hill. Using a pushchair is difficult. We don't provide any facilities for babies or young children. 3. There is not parking outside the property. But parking is just 70 yards away. Guest access Full access to the villa and garden. Other things to note Arrival and departure times Check in time is after 1600. If you wish to arrive earlier and the property is ready, we will gladly arrange this. Check out is prior to 1000. Please contact us if you require a later check out and we will do our best to accommodate you. Passport registration We are required by Italian Law to register your booking with the Police and provide copies of your passports. If you are unable to provide us with copies of your passports, then we reserve the right to cancel your booking without any recourse. Garden furniture Garden furniture is available for guests and stored in the cantina. As the furniture is wooden, it is not suitable to be left outside for extended periods or in poor weather conditions. The photos are intended to give an indication of the furniture available.
