West Asheville - Canie Creek Getaway
West Asheville - Canie Creek Getaway
Description
Located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in West Asheville. Sidewalks, friendly people, and the Canie Creek Greenway runs adjacent to the backyard. Indie shops, great restaurants, small breweries, and bars are just a mile or 2 away. It's a quick 5 mile drive to downtown Asheville, and about 20 minutes from some great views and hikes in almost every direction. The space Down a few outdoor stairs, you'll enter through a private entrance on the side of the house that leads you to a large 1-bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. This space includes its own kitchenette, dining area, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. We live upstairs and don't share any of this interior space with our guests. The space is equipped with wi-fi, a fridge with a small freezer, microwave, toaster, a standard stove/oven, and other essentials. The side patio outside the door is entirely yours and you're also welcome to read a book and enjoy a drink in one of the hammocks underneath the deck. Guests are also welcome to use the fire pit on the other side of the house with a little advance notice. Guest access We have 1 spot for off street parking on the right side of the house by the firepit. Please do not block the driveway if you park here. On street parking is also allowed and free on both sides of the street, but the street is pretty narrow. If you decide to park on the street, please park as close to the curb as possible. Other things to note My partner and I live upstairs with our cat. We're generally pretty quiet, but you may occasionally hear us walking around above. The only other shared wall is our downstairs office, which is on other other side of your bathroom. On weekends especially, you may also see us outside doing yard work or sitting on the back deck. However, we will always try to give you as much privacy as possible. On very rare occasions, like a power outage or other home emergency, we may need to ask for access to the space in order to get to the fuse box or the furnace, which is only accessible by going through a door in your space. We'll give you as much advance warning as possible if this is necessary. Asheville homestays (rentals shorter than 1-month) laws are fairly strict within the city limits of Asheville. Owners must live on the premises or the rental is subject to large fines.
