Marfa sits nestled in a plateau in the high desert, roughly 50 miles north of Mexico. Our classic adobe home, with its spacious, light-filled rooms and romantic porches is convenient to Marfa's celebrated museums, galleries and restaurants. The space The house reflects Marfa's adobe architectural heritage and the influences of the contemporary art scene. The elegant front veranda runs the length of the house, the screened-in porch facing the rear courtyard is a favorite gathering spot for local writers and artists, and for a small additional charge ($60/day) there is an extra room and half-bath in the adobe casita at the back of the compound. Guest access Guests have the run of the house and, should they require it, the residential portions of the casita. Other things to note Up to four people can stay in the main house in the two bedrooms (one bedroom has a king bed, and the other contains a full size organic mattress). There is one full bathroom (with shower) in the main house. A fifth guest can stay in the additional bedroom in the Casita. 13% state and local taxes will be added to the nightly price. Owners provide written guide to local attractions. Don't forget to listen to KRTS, the wondrous Marfa Public Radio station - found at 93.5 on the FM dial.
