Slumber to owls hooting after a day exploring the beauty of the Cornish coastline and fishing villages. Perfectly located in mid Cornwall with fields, footpaths and streams to explore from the doorstep. A10-minute drive to the dog friendly golden beaches of Perranporth, with recommended eateries and takeaways too The space Feel the stress melt away as you drive down the beautiful half mile lane and unload your dogs knowing they are safe to sniff and explore away from traffic. The Boathouse has a secure wraparound balcony and an enclosed porch, both perfect for ensuring your dogs are safe and you have a place for taking off coats and walking boots after a day enjoying the many local walks and villages. A particular favourite of ours is a walk from Wheal Coates National Trust car park (20 minutes drive away) to Chapel Porth taking in the iconic tin mines and enjoying a hedgehog ice cream at Chapel Porth before tackling the uphill path back to the car. The double bed (king sized bedding so nobody gets chilly) has a view across the balcony and on to the lake. Your kitchenette is well equipped with double hob, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle, microwave and mini fridge (small freezer compartment) for cooked breakfasts and has a breakfast bar for you to enjoy a takeaway curry. You will also find, tea. coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and oil to get you started. The wrapround, covered balcony is the perfect spot for nature watching (will you spot the kingfisher?), reading, a game of cards or simply snuggled up with the extra blankets supplied, relaxing. The Boathouse is well insulated and has central heating, a wood burner effect gas fire and a heated towel rail in the shower room to ensure that everything remains toasty. Although the peace and quiet feels as though you are miles from anywhere, Truro and Perranporth are only a 10 minute drive away and we are literally 3 minutes off the A30, so great for exploring the rest of Cornwall. Perranporth is a fantastically dog friendly little town, from the miles of golden sands, to the Tywarnhale and Seiners pubs, everything is dog friendly. The Pavillion ice-cream shop and Seiners pub even offer a doggie menu. You can enjoy endless beach options within a 10 minute drive, walks from the doorstep or city shopping.
