Christmas Day & Boxing Day - the pool is closed for guests We live in a tranquil and rural neighbourhood, a very quiet nook of Constantia; walking distance to Groot Constantia vineyards and a few mins drive to Klein Constantia and Buitenverwatching Wine Farms. Our charming Guest Suite comprises of a bedroom, bathroom, separate living space (separated by an American Shutter partition) with a basic kitchenette which looks out onto a private courtyard. Serviced Mon - Fri Our Guest Suite would suit those who do not wish to cook often due to the small kitchenette (complimentary washing up & emptying of bins) Relax & enjoy this tranquil space; looking up to the stars from your bed; reading by the pool or just listening to the birds, you will be away from the hustle & bustle of the city; a home away from home. Solar panels with a back up battery - you should not be affected during load shedding. We have another listing also on our property should you need additional accommodation. Our Cottage sleeps up to 4, & would suit preferably 2 adults and 2 children (1 Queen bed extra length & 1 sofa bed opening up to an extra length double size bed). “Garden Cottage - Leafy Constantia Guest House” Although we offer self check in; as we live on the property, we are available most of the time. Unless it is late hours, or we can not be there, we will meet & greet you and show you around The guest suite comfortably sleeps 2 (with an additional child on the sofa bed), floor mattress, cot & high chair available on request - there may be an additional cost for a cot / high chair. Own private entrance. The Guest Suite is attached to our main house and although we have a double thickness door separating the 2 to minimise any noise, there is potential for normal household sounds to filter through. Off street secure parking behind a remote controlled gate. We also have extra security - Electric fence and CCTV exterior cameras The pool and main garden areas are shared with our family & Cottage guests. NB Our family home swimming pool, fountain & pond do not have a safety net or fencing. We are very happy to have children stay if you are comfortable with the above - please contact us should you require more information. The pool is not deep, so for your safety diving is not recommended. With the American shutters open, the bedroom receives a lot of light from the windows / doors in the living area. Living area - Sofa bed which easily folds down to make an extra length ¾ bed (linen provided) Smart TV with full bouquet Premium DStv, Netflix, uTube, Showmax, web browser etc Free Fast Fiber WiFi (cabled into the Guest Suite) Complementary - servicing Mon - Fri, and once a week cleaning Linen and towels will be changed every 5-7 days depending on length of stay. Bathroom - Soap, shower gel and shampoo etc and other complementary bathroom necessities for your stay are provided Heated towel rail Bath and swimming towels There is a courtyard leading out from the Guest Suite with cafe table and chairs; along with a Weber barbecue/braai for your private use. By the pool (access through a door a few steps away from the Guest Suite), you can relax on the sun loungers to soak up some sun. Our home is cleaned using natural, eco friendly and biodegradable products, we recycle where ever possible and, in the garden, promote a natural ecosystem. We have a vegetable garden, where you are welcome to pick some salad leaves etc We are situated within easy access to the M3 freeway, making it an ideal spot to explore all what Cape Town has to offer. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens & amazing beaches (both sides of the peninsula) just 15 mins drive, Table Mountain, the Waterfront and the City approx. 25-30 mins drive away. We are very close (aprox 5 mins drive) to all the Constantia Valley wine estates. You can take a relaxing & beautiful walk from us, through Groot Constantia vineyards, alternatively there are trails and walks on the Mountain, Silvermine, and in Tokai, between 5-10 mins drive away. We are close to a large variety of fabulous restaurants (from fine dining to casual), vineyards and are surrounded by nature. We have 2 very friendly dogs who may occasionally say hello and we also have chickens in the garden. If you would prefer not to be disturbed by the dogs, please let us know.
