Cottage au coeur d'un vignoble

The space Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, le “Cottage du Vigneron” or “Winemaker’s Cottage” is the ideal point of departure for visiting the Touraine region. The cottage is situated approximately 15 km from both Tours and Amboise and 30 km from Chenonceau. The 17th century cottage is at the center of the Clos de la Meslerie winemaking estate, next to the main manor house, and is surrounded by vineyards. You will enjoy a stay in a quiet, natural environment while being only 3 km from the charming village of Vernou sur Brenne where you’ll find 2 traditional bakeries, charcuteries, greengrocer, pharmacy, supermarket etc…. Ground floor The cottage has been fully renovated while maintaining its historic charm. The ground floor has a living and dining space combined with an open kitchen (38m2). In the colder months you can warm up to the heat of a Godin wood burning stove which is the centerpiece of the living area. The area has a Hi-Fi with USB connection, flat screen TV and DVD player (with access to a library of over 300 DVDs) and wi-fi internet access. The living area opens on to a private terrace next to the salt water swimming pool (14x5m, heated and open from June-September) The ground floor includes a separate toilet and a double bedroom (13.5 m2) with its private bathroom (5m2). First floor (31.5m2) Upstairs, a hallway leads to two additional double bedrooms each with two with twin beds. These rooms share a separate toilet and a shower room. Your stay at the cottage To welcome you, drinks are served the evening of your arrival. For breakfast, in the fully-equipped kitchen you will find a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules, tea, and home made organic jams made from the fruit of our orchard. Fresh French bread and croissants will be delivered to you for the first morning of your stay until you discover the bakeries for yourselves! All bed, table and bath linens are included. Cleaning at the end of your stay is also included. If you are travelling with a baby a bed, high chair, bathtub and games and books are also at your disposal. Upon request we will be happy to give you a tour of the vines, the winemaking facility and do some tasting from the barrels and the bottles!
